“The child perverts have made it impossible to stay”

I enjoyed conversations, jokes and sharing life stories with the friends I made there. But the amount of people who come to discuss spanking, beating, slippering, belting, humiliating and sexualizing children and teenagers makes me so upset I feel like a fraud for remaining there making light of other things while they continue to thrive there. It's a shame because without the pedophilia it's a fun strange one if a kind place… we'll experience project was this is like the off brand version.

I was on this site in 2013 and 2014 when I was 13/14 years old. I joined because I started showing signs of mental illness as I became an adolescent and had no one to talk to about it. I started talking to a girl. She was 23. I was still figuring out my sexuality (and gender identity) at that time, you know, because I was 13. We talked every day and she would gaslight me and berate me if I didn't respond, even if I was at school or working over the summer. I would send her nude pictures (THROUGH THE WEBSITE, BTW) and she would send ones back. If I didn't send photos she would accuse me of being fake, and make me send specific pictures to prove I was real. Looking back, being almost 21 years old, it's clear to me that I was being groomed by this person. I really wonder how many other kids were exploited sexually on this website.

I had first signed up in 2011 when i was still just a kid, so far not too bad. Just ignored the perverts and annoying people. Then 2014 came around and i had the amazing experience of being literally prayed upon by an adult man. At the time of course i wasn't too concerned with it or anything but now i'm 20 i wonder how many other teens at the time were having conversations with pedophiles who were actively grooming us? Not to mention i've met some really horrible people there, of course i met some really sweet, kind hearted people but i have to agree with another review that the bad was so overwhelmingly horrible it made the community so toxic.

Honestly good riddance to this website, it better stay dead because it's more harm than help. The owners were probably looking at a massive lawsuit for the amount of things going on there which is literally so many i could list but you can already see the issues, yes? This website won't be missed

I've noticed that sex and nonsense are big hits on this site and important topics aren't. It's hard for anyone with an education to enjoy being on EP for long- unless they really get off on answering questions and collecting hearts and best answers. Featured discussions is something I'll have to look for elsewhere. I've met some super nice people, though. Not as many as the jerks who try to ruin the day- but enough to make the site tolerable.

I was on this website years ago to try and connect to others who may be struggling with similar issues regarding mental health, but I learned very quickly that EP had little to no moderators and the site was a cesspool of fetishists and predators. These type of people would try to contact you even if you had absolutely no interest in them and also prey on people vulnerabilities.
I ended up leaving the site and heard years later that it shut down which is a good thing because while the site may have had good intentions in the beginning to help connect people who may be struggling in life it ended up being completely taken over by predators.

I joined this site in 2012, as I am a sufferer of Anxiety and Depression, and was in search of people to talk to with similar interests and/or disorders. At first, I felt very welcome on ExperienceProject; I met a lot of nice people, being able to freely express myself was very liberating; it was comforting to know there were others out there like myself. I met some great people who encouraged me and offered support, I met people who eventually became my friends no matter that they lived across the ocean. It felt nice to be accepted, even if it was only online.

However, the site took took a turn for the worse in mid-2012, even though it was never perfect to begin with. I think this might be due to the fact that the website became more known as time passed, which meant more visitors. People first started to visit this online community to find like-minded people, to be able to express themselves without judgement and negativity, to make friends from all over the world who share our interests—it was just a very safe, small, casual website where everyone seemed like a family that helped each other out. Now, it's rare to discover any of this amongst all the mess EP has created.

It is now full of pointless changes that do not serve any of the Users appropriately. The ExperienceProject staff do not take our ideas, advice, or concerns into consideration. In fact, they never respond to any emails, even if it's regarding something serious such as harassment or a site error. They ignore every message sent to them. There are a lot of sexual predators, a lot of sick minded and sadistic people who are into unnatural and horrendous fetishes. Old men talking to thirteen year olds. Pornographic images and sexual messages being sent out. Disturbing Experience Groups and Stories and Questions being shared; a lot of what they do is either illegal or morally wrong. The things these people talk about are sickening to the stomach; very repulsive and vulgar, gruesome and vicious, nauseating and perverted. There are a lot of death threats, people trying to coax others into their sexual fantasies. There's a lot of spam and scammers and false advertisements. Cyber-Bullying is also increasing on ExperienceProject, I've dealt with it first hand a lot of times, and never did the EP staff help. They have Reporting and Flagging options, but even when you're being threatened or bullied to the extreme, clicking those buttons does absolutely nothing—EP do not respond or take action.

This site was very close to my heart when I first discovered it; it was the first time I felt like I belonged somewhere. However, it's no longer the same site anymore, and I do not recommend it to anyone who is thinking to sign up. It is becoming a very unsafe and disturbing website.

This a fetish site if ever I've seen one. The perverts come out of the
woodwork over the most innocent posts. I was once asked if I liked
'sissy boys' who enjoy being dominated simply because I expressed that I'm a mixed race girl who likes White guys in an interracial love forum.

I was not being perverted so I absolutely don't believe I deserved attention from a
perv in return. I was not there to date or there to date a perv. I left that site three years ago and haven't looked back since.

Avoid Experience Project altogether unless perverts are your kind of people and reading posts about girls who enjoy sexually seducing their own brothers is the highlight of your day. They should post an 'Enter At Your Own Risk' warning on this site!

This site either permits or actually foster the ability of male predators to entice female minors into inappropriate communication, resulting in sexting and sex abuse. It is a dangerous place for children, and yet it fails to ensure that children cannot participate. It is also completely unresponsive to inquiry from concerned parents.
Parents should prevent their children from participating on this site. I am investigating the possibility of a criminal complaint.

My experience on the Experience Project was ok until I expressed an actual opinion and got harassed for it.
People can be $#*!s a lot of the time and there are many, many trolls who's main purpose is to make you feel crap about yourself. So have yourself the time and the annoyance and the anger, and just don't sign up for it.
IT'S NOT WORTH IT.
Also, loads of old men hit on you if you're a girl - particularly if you're a teenager.

Tip for consumers:
Just don't use it.

There are admins, but they don't patrol the site day to day. There's people who have been continuously harassed for months on end by trolls - one in particular who goes by the name "Billy". Apparently admins are "aware he is a sex offender"... But still he continues to use the website daily, belittling and threatening vulnerable members.

I only give one star for it was once a brilliant site and there used to be great people, still are but mostly "sleeping".
This site is full of bad cliques, who will flag and remove anybody they do not like, without even any interaction.
It is a total disgrace, people are bullied to death by members and the staff will totally overlook disgusting behaviour and if you dare to stick for yourself, you are plainly suspended or banned. No reason given, no explanation, no accountability even if you did absolutely nothing wrong at all. You ask for proof, evidence: none is given.
Fake rumours abound along with falsified screenshots and the like.
This site needs a total overhaul and current staff need to be given the boot and fired. They are as corrupt as the bullies they side with.

I went there because I thought it was a nice place to write. Facing lots of intolerance, bullies, in a site full of perves, and totally unmonitored concerning all of these matters, I got more blunt in what I wrote. And started being harrassed, insulted, and threatened, by members I found out were from the site staff.
It's really not worth it. I wonder what kind of experience, they're actually referring to. There's no share, it's judgemental, and, you may have your personal information falling into just anyone's hands.
I put one star, because I can't put zero.

So I came across the website for the Experience Project and like everything else thought this would be a good, authentic, sharing experience. I'm not sure that the owners of this sight actually monitor who joins but I deleted my account immediately. One username that concerned me, "justanotherstalker" and the picture posted was that of a person wearing a sackcloth w/eyes & mouth cut out. It was somewhat disturbing. I'm probably overly concerned however as a person who worked in law enforcement I am skeptical.

I just started using this app today and I'm very disappointed so far. It seems that I'm the oldest person on this site at age 45! ALOT of young ones... as young as (13-15). Lots of immature trash talking. I was hoping to talk to mature mid lifers like myself who are at a difficult crossroad and are wanting to start over. I doubt that I will last long on here.

Filled with sexual filth and porn. Groups on incest, pedophiles adding underage girls to their friends. Every imaginable fetish and type of sexual deviancy is tolerated including sex with animals although EP clearly states that they do not allow those topics. They do nothing to stop them. Members are harassed, taunted and bullied and the bullies are not removed. Women get sexual advances of the most sickening kind every day. This site attracts and has allowed the adult community to flourish unchecked. While EP encourages users to post stories about themselves, they do nothing to prevent members from being attacked by abusive members. EP also allows underage children in the site as young as thirteen! This is unbelievable considering the amount of filth they allow. They don't care about their members as is very clear in their refusal to address these issues for years. The site is also used for marketing purposes by the owner's parent company, Kanjoya. This is not a site that cares about people but a scam used to make money off of the misery of it's members!

I was on EP for a few years until 2011 when trolls seemed to take over the site. The sad thing was that the trolls were not only able to do this, but I got flagged and pushed off the site by Admins (I was suspended) when I stuck up for myself when a troll pushed it to the limit. Not only does EP support troll behavior, but the ONE time when I stick up for myself I get suspended because I called the person out on their behavior. The site is pathetic--Admins are bully trolls and so are most of the people on it now. I went on as a Grad student looking for some safe space to relate and instead I got a sick bunch of people that are out to tear people down because their lives have no substance and apparently neither do those who Admin the site.

EP is a site which seems to be a fertile ground for predators and harmful trolls. It is wrongly advertising itself as a support group when more often than not the members will viciously attack you for having different views or feelings about something. Which people should not have to accept but perhaps have become immune to it because maybe there are still a handful of decent people remaining in this site.

The real problem arises when a person threatens attack to another member and the best response from EP admin is for the person being harassed to change their id name and hide their activity. I don't know if EP admin is really that incompetent to give such an obnoxious suggestion. It appears as though EP does not take the safety of their members seriously and would much rather have the traffic generated by trolls and fake accounts which are set up in multitudes by harassing trolls. It appears as though EP may even be promoting such acts which on the surface appear as being against their TOS but a violation of which has no action from them. It would be very possible some of these harassers are a part of EP admin which would truly jeopardize a persons anonymity which the site claims to me and protect of its members.
I wonder if it will take a real crime to be committed that would have people open their eyes to this site or admin to even pay attention to what really is happening on their site.
If you value your peace of mind and safety, do not go to this site.

I first joined experience project when I was going through a difficult time. I thought I could write a few stories, comment, and message a few people per week to take my mind off things. Writing is an outlet for me and I needed a distraction in my life. I joined the site and posted a few short stories that were totally normal (nothing explicit or sexual in nature). I got a few hearts (equal to a like), some views, and one insignificant comment. 24 hours later, I got my first private message. It was from a man who wanted me to either post a photo of myself to my profile or privately message him a photo. This man was very specific - he wanted to see a photo of my face. Ummm, what?!?:-/ I responded and I told him that I do not post photos of myself online, sorry. He responded saying that he would eventually convince me to show my face. This man was a total creep. I googled his screen name and found that he had multiple online profiles including an online dating profile on plenty of fish. He was on every online social media site known to man trolling for women. He messaged me every day for about a week asking me creepy things, like what I was wearing, how tall I was, how much I weighed, and the best one of all - what color and style panties I was currently wearing. Ummm, FLAG & BLOCK! Disgusting creeper! That was just the beginning. By this time I had accumulated about 50 "fans" in one week. 95% of them were male and at least 70% of them had a photo of their groin area in their default photo. Some were even exposed with their genitals completely showing! Out of curiosity, I clicked on a few of my "fan's" profiles to see who these weirdos were. They had some of the most disturbing sexual fantasy related stories including wanting to control someone's bladder, making them drink excessive amounts of fluid, and denying them a toilet until they burst and wet themselves. Ummmm, what the heck? What kind of weird fetish site is this?! By this time, I had been getting at least 10 or more private messages per day. All from men that were sick in the head. Asking me sexually explicit questions, asking me to look at their photos, asking me where I lived, etc. Into the second week of having this EP profile, I actually met a really nice and genuine guy who left me a comment and then privately messaged me. He never once asked me anything explicit or sexual in nature and was respectful. I told him about all the weird men that had been messaging me and he told me that it was because my profile says that I am a female. If you are a girl, you will be harassed…bottom line. He even said that he gets older men with fetishes for young men messaging him all kinds of creepy things. I was planning on deleting my account this day until this one person messaged me and wasn't creepy. Needless to say, we are still real friends. A few more weeks went by with more and more disgusting private messages and comments on a daily basis. I flagged most of them and nothing happened. I even had men that were harassing me because I would not engage in sexual conversations with them or post sexual photos of myself (I blocked these people). But the final straw was about one month later when I logged in and got 5 private message consisting of photos of a man's genitals. A few of these photos included a short message about how he wanted to "do" me and gave me measurements of his genitals! ENOUGH! I flagged these senders, deleted all my messages, stories, and content and proceeded to delete my account. This site is nothing but perverts and people with severe mental health issues along with men out trolling on women. DO NOT JOIN EXPERIENCE PROJECT!

Experience project is a place to go and share your story and find others like you. That's what they advertise. What it really is, is a place full of uncensored, unmonitored, people looking to hurt others.

I joined EP just under a year ago. I was have a very stressful few months and getting emotionally weighed down. So I googled online support groups. And sure enough there was EP. I joined. I shared my story. And then... nothing. No one commented. Which was only a little bothersome. But they can't control that part. So I went through read some of the stories and found my eyes being opened to my situation. But, I soon needed someone to talk to. So I went to EP's helpful "you may want to talk to these people" but almost everyone in that list was against the experience they joined. I couldn't help but wonder what was up with that. And then one day I was reading through a story and came across the first troll siting. Someone putting down someone for that choice. I immediately hit flag. And... nothing happened. I even checked back 24,48, and who knows how many days later. EP claims they deal with ALL flags and reports within 24 hours. How they didn't delete that, I will never know.

After a little while of being there, I was finally attacked. But this wasn't like the others. No it wasn't just "you're going to hell" or "you made a horrible decision". No. This person attacked me because I stood up against them when they tried to put down another person. And they were even worse towards me. Telling me I should be stoned to death. And all these horrible things. I flagged each comment multiple times, and even sent an email because after you flag they say "if this is an emergency please contact us" and this user was way out of hand. So I did. I NEVER, to this day, got a response from that email. The only reason I didn't delete the comments was because I wanted EP to see them.

I left for a while and came back. The trolls were getting out of hand. Everyday they were putting more and more users down and everyday those of us who were strong enough, fought back and reported them. And everyday we were met with disappointment.

EP staff does nothing. Unless you have every member in a group doing something. And then they will do ONE thing. Delete one comment or "talk to the user" and thn nothing for another couple of months as if that's good enough. DO NOT JOIN THIS SITE

Terrible! Boring! It once was fun and an adventure! It's too sterile! It used to welcome adults and meaningful adult content as well as some racy conversations which by the way seem to be in demand! Management was able to block those not of age! They made quite a bit more money on membership according to a few friends I have in San Francisco that were affiliated with the site! Many of the negative responses I have received are those friends and associates of the current E. P. I see the terms "Troll" which frankly is one of a childish statement! "Perverts?" Is tha because you might be a woman and a so called "Troll" asked you something personal? All the years I was on there, Women asked to be left alone and in most cases they were left alone and if not they could be blocked! Just an excuse! Granted, any conversation could be had on there however allowing a tone where people could be frank about a subject without fear of being "Flagged!" As far as administration not interfering? It is administration leaving these statements! They will leave a message in your mailbox if you are being too adult! The difference, E. P.
HAD an adult catagory where all of the so called "Trolls" and "Perverts" went without affecting the angels! Sad

This site use to be very good, 5 stars easy, then the trolls and perverts moved in. Admin is a bit hesitant to step in, so really it is up to the users to fight off the scourge of degenerates.

The community is self policing. It uses "flags" to monitor content. The issue is, good members aren't motivated enough to flag frequently, but the pervs and trolls are more than happy to. That's why so many good members who stick up for themselves end up being flagged into suspension.

I personally love the site. I met good people and have shared wonderful experiences, and every day I do my best to fight off perverts and trolls. I started an underground movement to remove pornographic content from the site using the flag system, reporting, and other moderational tools given to the users. I also intend to start a much more public campaign to bring witty and intellectual questions back to the Q&A board, and to discourage posts of a sexual or trollish nature.

I also seek to start a promotional blog on the internet, to bring genuine and good members to the site, to try to counteract the influx of bad people. This site has SO much potential. It's pretty much overflowing with it! It just needs a bit of help is all, and it starts with the users. With me. I just know this place will shine like it use to one day. I and those who stand beside me will make it so.

If you seek to share meaningful experiences and ideas with like minded individuals, come on down to experienceproject.com. If you are a nasty and depraved pervert looking to wank off, don't bother, because me and my associates will boot you out eventually anyway :).

There aren't many things I can honestly say have changed my life but EP is one of them.
I'm such a private person. I've never felt like anyone truly knows me but the cloak of anonymity I was lent by EP allowed me to share my true self.
To my surprise, a whole lot of people like who I am.
Yes, of course bad things occasionally happen (don't they everywhere online?) but the amount of trolls and bullies has been grossly exaggerated by other reviewers.
I usually find for every one mean-spirited remark, at least three or four positive, supportive ones.
Some people even make it their goal to drive the bullies away, like guardians of those less able to defend themselves.
And the friendships I've made are real. Whether they'll outlast my time on the site I don't know and don't even think it's particularly relevant.
Logging on to EP feels like taking off a suit of armour and showing the world my heart.
I've learned a lot about myself and others.
If you're anything at all like me, I suggest you ignore the moaners and give it a try.
It might just change your life too.

I think that what sucks you into a site like EP, is you feel like you are part of a community that cares. You make friends, you talk to them almost everyday, you get sucked in. The problem is when you quit, no matter what promise were made to keep in touch, it rarely happens, so you delete your account, come back, delete, come back in a vicious circle. Your friends are still addicted and are still spending all their free time on the site, so the promised emails never arrive, no one is checking them; they are all still on EP.

The hard truth is if they cared about you as a person, theyd make the effort. They are fair weather friends. Most of them there are needy, lonely, and depressed. Just like you. After all that is why many join up on the site, because in real life it is hard for us to make friends.

We also have the ability to project ourselves as we would like, not in the clumsily, shy, or awkward way we fumble about in real life.

It is really a lot like High School, only, now, we feel popular. No longer the ones who got beat-up in the locker room, made fun of in the hallways, the ones who were never picked for sports, and weren't asked out to the prom. It is very ego-satisfying, despite not being quite real.

It is the only way I can explain staying on a site were trolls are numerous and very nasty, were kids are exposed to adult material (that should make us all leave on principle), and if you are female you are constantly hit on by men of dubious character.

This site does something to your mind; it warps it to a very narrow view, where being funny and popular is all that really matters, just like High School.

I met some great people and read some meaningful stories; I have stayed in contact with exactly two people out of the 50 Friends I made.

I cannot recommend this site as the bad far out weighs the good.
