Paid in full for 2 adult return flights to Chicago, with a one way internal flight from chicago to New Orleans. Waited 2 weeks no tickets, not very much contact at all, then a call to advice me that the one way flight could not be taken as I would not have their credit card, that they used to pay for the flights and without it I could not get on the flight. Told them to change it to a comapny that I could get on then, and where the credit card used to pay was not an issue. Nearly 4 weeks later, no tickets, and UNITED Airways know nothing of us, there are no reservations in our name. Trying to get a full refund but it is like pulling teeth and in the meantime the flights are going up in price daily.
First time using. Impressive and honourable service! I've searched on their site before. What is off putting is that you have to call and the prices are "From" which of course that price is totally unobtainable as it doesn't exist.
However, I called up and was offered a price far better than what id found elsewhere online with other OTRs Id used before and literally more than £230 less than direct on the airlines site. So i was happy with that. The agent - Lily held the seat and fare for 2 days at the price.
As i have never used them before I paid with CC for extra protection even though they are ABTA ATOL bonded which allows them to issue tickets. I wasn't happy with the CC 2% fee. That being said as I hadn't used them before it was worth it for that extra level of consumer protection.
I had very good communications and calls with Lily who provided a very good service. If i could rate as 5 star for the agent then she deserved it. Lily gave her personal contact details of which i will use in the future. I fly a regular route multiple times per year and stick to one airline so i hope flights guru can get me the best future deals.
Lily sent me all the confirmed flight details and a payment link. Every thing was in order. Once I paid it did unfortunately take 5 hrs for eticketing. However the ticket came and I was then able to manage my booking on the airline website.
To conclude. Great job by Lily. My only negatives were the CC fee and the 5hr wait for eticketing.
On that note id definitely use Lily and flights guru again. Id also recommend as a genuine UK based OTR and Ltd Co. All round very good service. Thanks to Lily. An asset to the company.
