I was very happy with the entire process especially during this time of a pandemic. The entire Staff was AWESOME and to me seemed that they went out of there way to help me out. Especially the Crew that took my vehicle. They were so professional and extremely courteous. I felt very comfortable leaving my vehicle with them. I knew that it was in good hands and that they would take care of it as it was their vehicle. Extremely Pleased
We booked a transport and were told that the vehicle would arrive in Hawaii by a certain date. That date then changed by two weeks without us being notified and it completely through off our plans. The customer support team was not empathetic and declined giving us any sort of discount despite the added costs we will now incur because of the change in their plans.

My corvette was damaged in shipment and the company has not responded to my claim! My car was intentionally left between two vehicles so that I would have been forced to get on the ground, on my back, and look up to see what happened. I have not heard anything since I presented my claim. I would not use this company to build a doghouse! They are deceitful and dishonest. Whoever was in my car when it was damaged would have known that something happened. They chose to cover it up and ignore me and my claim.
After reserving and receiving a confirmation email about my initial reservation. I was called back about a week later with a different confirmation ship date. When I asked why, I was told shipments didn't go out on the weekends. Just wondering why wasn't I told that right away? My initial moving plans were made according to that confirmation. But other than that, someone apologized and was very helpful over the phone.
I used them before and got used to zero communications but this last time the carrier they hired totalled my vehicle. Very rare vehicle not many in the US. they called to say they apologize and that they would refund my shipping fees. Now I have sent 3 emails left numerous voicemails for the last couple weeks and got not a single response. Do not use this company what ever you do. They are complete worthless scum. The insurance the offer is fraud they will only pay it if the carriers insurance declines the claim, and since they are only a broker the they never truly have the vehicle in there possession so there for they charge you for no service that they will use.

Picking my car up in LA was a total cluster. I arrived to the lot where there were about 20 people standing around in a fenced in area. It was difficult to find someone who worked there. I was asked to wait outside until they called my name twice, then I had to ride in the back of a rickety bus to be dropped off 47 rows away from where my car was parked. For the price I paid for ship my car, this experience was messy and exhausting.
The people I felt with were kind, but the overall system needs major improvements.
Survey should be taken once service has been completed, but booking was fairly easy.

Days before my scheduled pick up, they called me to verify my information and I had told them the day of pick up I had an appointment at 2 so anything after 3 would work fine for pickup. They told me because I would only be gone shortly, the drivers could work around the schedule. The day of pickup, the driver called me around noon asking if he could come pick up my car now. I had told him I've spoken with the company days before saying anything 3 or later would be best and if he can stop by around that time. The driver said he wasn't sure if he would be available then to pick up my car so he would give me a call back if not another driver would pick my car up later that day or the next. Hours had gone by and I've heard nothing and I spent over an hour on hold waiting to get ahold of someone. Even the driver didn't answer my call. Once they answered, the woman told me the driver never said anything to them about not being able to pick up my car and because of that no replacement driver was scheduled to pick up my car at all. She told me she would handle it and would give me a call back. Once again hours pass by and I heard absolutely nothing from anyone so I spent an hour and a half on the phone and reached no one because during my hold time their office closed. So now I have no one scheduled to pick up my car, no one has gotten back to me and I know nothing about anything. I move in 3 days and spent hours trying to find a different car shopping service that was open and would give me a new quote last minute. This is the worst company I've ever worked with they are 100% unreliable and good luck trying to reach their customer service.
Dont use them. There are cheaper more reliable companies including going directly through Pasha who is who they use. I've shipped one car previously and had to deal with an employee booking the shipment incorrectl. I just got a quote for shipping another car and the employee was rude saying I shipped one car that is still in storage (I have multiple vehicles) and then becoming argumentative and hanging up on me when I said that was wrong information. When I called back he kept hanging up on me. Save yourself the headache with this unprofessional company and go through someone else. If you do choose to book and need to speak with an actual person your average wait time is about 20 minutes.

It is important to confirm with Matson (the actual shipper) the drop-off time. We were given a drop-off date by Hawaii Car Transport of six-days prior to container ship sail date. When we arrived at Matson, we were informed that we did not need to drop off vehicles until two-days before sail date (which we did, saving on rental car cost and storage fees).
Otherwise, using your service was easy and your pricing is great.
Don't be fooled. Hawaii Car Transport ships nothing except your contract. After contracting with them it was near impossible to communicate with anyone regarding the shipment. I often waited 45 minutes only to finally give up waiting for someone to answer. Ship directly with a shipping company is my heartfelt recommendation. HCT grabs you with a top search engine, don't be fooled.Don't pay the extra hundred of dollars to a middle man company whose communication and customer service is nonexistant. A, D minus to F grade for Hawaii Car Transport. Never Again!

Buyer Beware! When you ship to Maui they will put your car on a dirt lot in the middle of a cane field, no covering, no security, no employees at that location, five miles from the port, and that is where you pick up your vehicle after shipping! There are rocks and pot holes everywhere and industrial/agricultural activities right next to the lot with dust and fall out. Then you sit on hold for hours when you try to reach there customer service number. And I left three VM messages for Rob Aola and he ignored all of them and never called back. Once they get your money, good luck trying to get a human on the phone. NEVER AGAIN!
Ended up being more expensive than competitors and more fees added on after the order and quote was made, time line information was never accurate and the tracking system was very primitive considering today's technology. There was some scratches and minor damage to my truck but i feel it would have been a waste of time trying to claim it. It's here, its done, I'm over it! And i will not recommend your services to anyone!
You will find mixed reviews on this company and we have used them before so we understand BOTH sides. Shipping homie car off island was seamless and a pleasure of an experience. However it has been 1 week since our car was supposed to arrive and apparently another week before it's now "estimated" to arrive. We have had to pretend to ask for a quote to get anyone on the phone - very poor communication and no "real time" tracker as they Claim. Very disappointed! In car rental alone we have spent $1000 (economy car nothing fancy) we should have spent the $150 more to get reliable service elsewhere. NOT WORTH THE RISK

I cannot express more, the absolute frustration I have had with this company.
They mislead me into believing all I need was my insurance, registration and ID to ship the car, I asked multiple times if I needed anything else with all of the booking information to ship my car. I was told just fill the departure information, name of who is shipping the car, all necessary information was taken care of the last thing they needed was my money.
Every time I called to reverify, they answered until I paid. Now I cannot get any help.
And after asking for help (yes I was frustrated on the phone, who wouldn't be) I was hung up on.
She told me there are only two shipping companies and I don't really have an option
If I leave it at the harbor it will be stolen or broken into and vandalized… if I don't figure it out, it isn't her issue
I understand it is my car and my responsibility… I understand, I just needed the proper information prior
You need a notary and forms from your bank along with your title, registration and id and insurance.
If I had known the notary and other forms, I would have been aware and ready… I would have planned accordingly.
They did not tell me anything, they continued to ask for all my payment methods and tried to sell me more insurance. As soon as I gave them this they refused to help.
And when I told them I was going to write the reviews, Michelle, Chase and Laura all said we don't care.
So if they don't care, please please do not use them.

I shipped my vehicle from Hawaii, and once it shipped and got to mainland (California) I am unable to get in contact with anybody from Hawaii Car Transport (HCT)! The funny and interesting thing about the whole experience is as I was looking for a reliable company to ship my vehicle, I contacted HCT, and they called me several times, emailed me several times, and even texted me several times to gain my business. I unfortunately went with them and now I am stuck without a vehicle and nobody to talk to. I have called about 12 times and each time I have waited for about an hour or more which leads to the phone just hanging up. There is no way they are that busy! Will update this review once and if I get my vehicle.
In this business model changes are to be expected since dates are just estimates. However with a dynamic as such, communication is Essential. Lack of consideration from the consumer perspective as this changes can have high cost for the individual as, motel stays, rental, plans, and jobs lined up. Information is misleading on the average arrival. For $1500 a client cant even get a call of changes? Really?
Very helpful and informative before I shipped my vehicle. But the customer service was below average leading up to the arrival of my vehicle. I felt like after they got my money, they didn't even try to assist me with my questions and inquiries. Multiple 30 to 40 minute wait times to answer simple questions. I left multiple online chat questions that were never responded to. I also received an email stating my vehicle was available to pick up. When I drove 35 miles to the location, I was told my vehicle had not arrived yet. Fast and easy to use service. But somethings could be improved to create a better overall experience.

I wasted 12hrs waiting for a car pickup as promised. I finally gave up at 9 pm No call no follow up. I sent an email the next day only to get the response I will call the carrier and get back to you. No return call I felt like I was dealing with a bunch of 16 yr old that could care less. The worst service I have ever had.

I shipped 2 vehicles with this company one was a cargo van. When booking and getting a quote we confirmed that my van was not oversized I have been a carpenter for 30 years and I measured it to confirm it was not oversized. I heard other people in Kona say be careful when your car is out of your hands and your payment goes through they will charge for over sized... Sure enough that's exactly what they did! They just called me and said if I do not pay another $400 my car will be left in California and not shipped to Georgia because It is oversized. I was promised by the Salesman that I would not have this problem! So just wanted to let everybody else know that I was warned My other Hawaii transport customers and friends and I took the extra effort to confirm that this wouldn't happen to me with the salesman. The customer service agents response was oh sorry he didn't put any notes in here that said that he talk to you about this. Bottom line is I would give them a zero stars if I could. What a scam now I'm out $400
Everyone throughout the entire process from Hawaii to LA were very polite and friendly. My car battery died during transport and was jumped upon pick-up without any problems. I would recommend this company to anyone that should need it. Thank you
I never write reviews, but if I could give this company less than 1 star trust me I would! There was ZERO communication along the way, starting from when and how to drop off my cars (I was shipping 2 cars from Hawaii to Colorado). Once I completed the booking online and received the initial email, there was no instructions on how to drop my cars off and I made 2 trips to the other side of the island before being to accomplish this seemingly simple task. We had to pay $200 for each car to be stored there before shipping since I couldn't drop it off on the exact day, even though they say "flexible drop off" - it's not. It was a SUPER shady experience dropping my cars off in this fenced lot with a trailer as an "office", but there we were - their employee with a clipboard, a pen and a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. Over the next 3 weeks, I tried multiple times to call HCT and email them to see how I would know when my cars would be delivered. I also emailed PASHA and it was them who told me I would be contacted once my car was unloaded in California and a carrier was selected. Late Friday afternoon I received an email stating that the estimated delivery would be Monday - no other information was provided. I immediately tried calling HCT, I tried emailing, I tried contacting the carrier service that was assigned, anything I could think of to find out when my cars would be delivered. Keep in mind, I scheduled "port to door" service and believed my cars would be delivered to my door. Fast forward to 9:30 Monday morning and I get a call from the carrier service saying that I needed to meet his driver at noon at a location 20 miles from my house. I had to scrounge at the last minute to figure out how to get there with 2 other drivers in order to pick up my cars. This all could have been avoided with communication on their part. No one answers the phone with HCT, they don't respond to emails, their online chat is not a thing and the "live tracking" just takes you to a stats of what you already know. Do NOT use this company. Ship directly with PASHA, find someone else - use anyone but Hawaii Car Transport!
