“Stay Away. Your a number not a name. Billing unfair. Don't waste money.”

My husband and I both had to have screening Colonoscopies because of our age and family history. Prior to having the Colonoscopy you have to go in for a visit to get the prep rx and so they can collect a copay from you. Mine went off without a hitch except for the hours I sent waiting before and after the procedure. Wasted a whole day sitting in a hospital bed. My husband on the other hand when he went it for his Colonoscopy prep appointment, He happened to mention that he had C-diff months before and Dr. Brooks said fine, she would take a look. Never once did she mention that this would change it from a screening Colonoscopy to a Procedure. See the screen ones are covered completely by insurance and the procedure ones are not. We were shocked when we received four different bills or his colonoscopy. Communication with the doctor was a wasted effort, as was communication with Linda, their billing manager. Because he happened to mention a pre-existing condition we now are paying over $500 in bills for a simple coding error and lack of information. Needless to say we have changed Gastroenteritis.
