“Tom Monks - Sickening Individual”

Scott G.
2/16/16

Having just watched this Youtube video of The Drunkards (Tom Monks with some unnamed vocalist) playing a low-grade, sexually explicit, viciously misogynistic song called Jenny, I feel thoroughly sickened by the experience. This is clearly their depraved idea of a funny joke. Whether it's an actual or fictitious girl they've based their disgusting lyrics on, this song is the creation of a couple of nasty-minded young perverts with no humanity whatsoever. The song is basically poking fun at a girl who, having been sexually abused by her father as a child, goes on to become a prostitute; losing all her self-respect along the way to the point of self-loathing and finally committing suicide. While recording this song with their faces twisting into malicious smirks and sardonic laughter, these two creeps are really getting off on the idea of the pain and suffering of a girl whose life is ruined and ultimately destroyed by the fact of being sexually abused by a series of so-called 'men' while judging and blaming the girl for the crimes of her abusers. As if that weren't bad enough, it's written from the point of view of a voyeur talking to the girl's 'Johns' and revelling in the fact that their pleasure is her nightmare. This is schadenfreude at its worst, and I dread to think what audience they're aiming this song at. Anyone who's entertained by this hateful filth is either already a sexual molester or a rapist waiting to happen, let alone the bastards who've written and recorded it. The obvious depravity of these sickening individuals suggests that they should come under close scrutiny by the police and they ought to be put on the sexual offenders register and preferably locked up. Incredibly the one playing the electric guitar, Tom Monks, runs a Facebook page called London Blacklist which he uses to attack other musicians and companies in the music business, posing as an arbiter of what's right and fair as if he were some kind of authority on the subject. Anyone who's even thinking of taking advice from this twisted little pervert should know who it is they're misguidedly putting their faith in. He's obviously motivated by self-interest at best and vicious malevolence at worst, and he's hell-bent on benefitting from the misfortunes of others, being aware that he hasn't got what it takes to succeed on his own merits. What a nasty piece of work.
