“Amazing site!”

This is so awesome, and the games are so fun! On the math games, you can use gaming skills and practice fun math at the same time! The diagnostic is also amazing! I, as a student, love and greatly appreciate them. Would recommend for all teachers. However, the one thing I would want to change is have a brain break for high schoolers!

I've been forced to do i-ready for the past 3 years. My English teacher makes us do 3 lessons per DAY for a grade. It's horrible because every lesson takes 30 min to an hour, and I don't learn anything at all. It's just like "Rearrange the sentence for some reason, this will help you somehow." "I was___ down the street when" "What's the word that goes in the blank?" Hmmm, I have no idea. See what I mean? It's pointless, boring, and just an overall waste of time. If you want a better learning service, try IXL.

I-Ready is by far the WORST. Learning site ever. If you fail a lesson that they give you barely any good information for up to 3 times, they put you back a grade of education. They are unclear, don't teach you what you learn in class, if you get 5 questions right they give a grade or two higher of questions and if you get those wrong, they still count it as your actual grade; meaning you could fail by not getting higher grade questions wrong. Horrible.

Tip for consumers:
If anyone is considering buying this, they should reconsider. Nobody should buy this. It's horrible.

A summary cannot begin to describe my hatred for I Ready. It is the worst learning experience that you can get. It does not teach you anything and, personally, my whole school hates it and complains when we have to do it. For me, and most, if not, all of my friends don't learn anything. It's just fill in the blanks or some dumb question like that. I READY DO BETTER!

Tip for consumers:
Save yourself the time and money schools. Don't get I Ready.

I-ready is literally the worst website ever! The questions take forever to answer because it's so slow, the voices are cringe, you only get like 20 coins for spending FOREVER on a lesson, and the people talk so damn much! Like in the middle of one of my lessons, the stupid little character will pause the whole lesson and lecture me! This app is also rated 1.2 stars and teachers are still making us use it! Not to mention it's also rated 116th for math apps. Please ban I-ready already for the sake of our mental health.

I keep getting wrong answers for no reason even though I got it right. I just want i-Ready banned. It gives me stress, depression, and anxiety. I am glad that people hate it. I want to call the administrators to ban I-ready. It makes me die, cry, and rage. I am not happy with it. I am mad at this garbage. During Acamademic Enchancement, my teacher forced me to do i-Ready even though it is garbage! It's bull junk! I hate i-Ready so gosh-dang much! I want it banned forever so that the students should be happy with this garbage getting removed!

Tip for consumers:
Do not use i-Ready! There are many reason why i-Ready is bad for everyone!

In the realm of educational technology, I-Ready has emerged as a prominent player, offering a comprehensive platform aimed at supporting personalized learning in K-12 classrooms. However, a closer examination of its diagnostics reveals significant limitations that impede its effectiveness. This review delves into the core functionalities of I-Ready and highlights the shortcomings in its diagnostic tools, ultimately questioning their efficacy in fostering meaningful educational progress.
I-Ready Overview:
I-Ready, developed by Curriculum Associates, is an adaptive online learning platform designed to cater to the individualized needs of students. It boasts a vast library of interactive lessons, assessments, and diagnostic tools, ostensibly tailored to each student's learning level. The platform's diagnostics are intended to identify gaps in knowledge, enabling educators to customize lesson plans and address specific areas of weakness.
The Promise of Diagnostics:
I-Ready's diagnostic assessments are marketed as a powerful tool for pinpointing students' strengths and weaknesses, offering a roadmap for educators to tailor instruction accordingly. The promise of personalized learning is an enticing prospect, particularly in an era where adaptive technologies strive to revolutionize traditional teaching methods.
The Reality of Diagnostics:
However, the reality falls short of the promise. The diagnostics on I-Ready, while ambitious in scope, lack the nuance required to provide a truly insightful understanding of a student's academic standing. The assessments primarily rely on multiple-choice questions, reducing the complexity of learning to simplistic answers that fail to capture the intricacies of a student's comprehension.
Shallow Understanding:
One of the fundamental flaws in I-Ready's diagnostics is their tendency to provide a superficial understanding of a student's knowledge. By relying on multiple-choice questions, the platform often fails to delve into the depth of a student's grasp on a particular concept. A correct answer might be a result of guessing or memorization rather than a genuine comprehension of the material.
Limited Scope of Assessment:
The diagnostics on I-Ready also suffer from a limited scope of assessment. They focus predominantly on math and reading skills, neglecting other essential aspects of a well-rounded education. Subjects such as science, social studies, and the arts are given short shrift, leaving educators with an incomplete picture of a student's overall academic prowess.
Inflexibility in Questioning:
Moreover, the rigid structure of multiple-choice questions restricts the ability of diagnostics to adapt to diverse learning styles. Students who may possess a deep understanding of a concept but struggle to express it within the confines of a predetermined set of answers are unfairly penalized. The inflexibility in questioning undermines the platform's claim to adaptability and personalized learning.
Failure to Address Learning Styles:
Another significant shortcoming in I-Ready's diagnostics is the lack of consideration for varied learning styles. Each student has a unique way of assimilating information, yet the platform fails to recognize and accommodate these differences. Visual learners, kinesthetic learners, and auditory learners are all subjected to the same format, disregarding the rich tapestry of learning preferences that exist in any classroom.
Misleading Metrics:
The metrics provided by I-Ready's diagnostics can be misleading, presenting a distorted view of a student's progress. The overemphasis on quantitative data, such as scores and percentages, may not accurately reflect a student's qualitative growth. Understanding the 'why' behind a mistake or a correct answer is crucial for effective teaching, and I-Ready's diagnostics fall short in providing this depth of insight.
Conclusion:
While I-Ready stands as a commendable attempt to revolutionize education through technology, its diagnostics remain a weak link in the chain. The reliance on multiple-choice questions, limited subject scope, and an inflexible approach to assessment all contribute to a system that fails to truly understand and support the diverse learning needs of students. As educators continue to navigate the landscape of digital learning tools, it is crucial to critically assess the promises made by platforms like I-Ready and demand a higher standard of efficacy in their diagnostic capabilities.

I ready is making kids mind blow up. Whenever we have to do I ready the room fills with groans and mons. Me and my friends have put in an answer like 1.4, and it says it is wrong and when they reveal the answer, are original answer was correct. It told me that 70 divided by 10 = 14 and 710 and 45 have the same value. Also, the kids don't enjoy it lesson because it never is challenging. If you get lucky and learn something new that the teacher teaches us in class in the future, it runs the lesson, and everyone gets so mad. No one, students and teachers included like i - ready.

Ready to be stressed 24/7? Ready to be staying up until 5 am to do stupid lessons? Well that's what iready is like. The instruction takes forever, the test at the end is just stupid. If you get 2 wrong you have to do EVERYTHING over again because you fail it. I-ready is the worst thing that schools could ever get, and it brings nothing but stress to their students.

This product barely helps you learn, all you ever do is fill in the blank or some other crap, i-ready reading is okay, but it's kind of the same stuff every time. I-ready math is a whole other experience, you have to do very long lessons and after every week my math teacher says we have to at least have done 10 lessons, (so that is 2 lessons per day, each lesson takes about 30 minutes). Another reason why it's so bad is you barely ever get time to actually do it, so everyday when I would much rather be playing sports I'm sitting on slow school computer that the school probably bought for 10 bucks on temu for hours on end trying to complete the lesson goal. Overall, your brain will rot and you will hate this product for your entire life and loathe it until the point you die. Thanks for reading! (dont buy this product)

BROOOOO. Why does it suck so much. There are the stupid instructor people telling cringe $#*! jokes from like the caveman ages. OMG HAHAHAHA i laughed so hard at your joke of you talking about like triangles or something. These people are literally bots. I would rather lick the bottom of my shoe then to do I-ready. I would rather listen to metal pipe sounds on repeat for 24 hours than do I-ready These teachers are just so lazy. There like "everyone go into i-ready!" My mental health is more important than learning about how to measure a line. PLEASE TEACHERS, if you want to be a good teacher, then I'm begging you. Please burn i-ready to the ground.

I am a 8th grade boy who had to do i-ready for 4 years and some others in my class for longer so you can trust me when i say its frustrating when I am doing my weekly i-ready requirements once the people in my lesson have finally finished talking I attempt to get the question right and I get it wrong the first time I say ok and try again I get it wrong again, then it clicks I know the answer now so I type it in and I make a single typo like adding an extra space or not putting an equal sign and now I failed the question just for it to talk more and it to finaly show the answer I was trying to enter and this situation is even worse on the quiz.

I am a student that has been using this website for years. I genuinely like using technology in class, but this is the one site that me, and LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE is my class HATES IT! The diagnostics are excruciatingly long (Took me an 120 minutes to finish) and every time I get a question incorrect they rub it in my FACE and talk to me like a baby when they know I'm in 6th grade. For some reason, in like 50 of the lessons, they teach me something that ends up being incorrect when I check it in the calculator. Just now, (I am writing this at the same time as doing a lesson) the computer said 4x4 is 15! THEY'RE TEACHING KIDS INCORRECT THINGS! Plus, if you don't do the computer lesson, for some reason It'll be marked MISSING! It is literally an UNCHANGABLE GRADE! I think I'll have notify my principal about the 1,000 OTHER KIDS THAT AGREE WITH ME! I hope I never see this site again.
