Bought Nasa telescope and t-shirt bundle in late November for £29.99 After the t-shirt turns up without telescope. I contact them, after bouncing silly messages around and then a ridiculously dumb form to fill out. 3-4 weeks later.
Today 22nd of December 2021 they tell me it's out of stock and they will refund me. We hope? However, checking their website they are still selling the same bundle but for £63.99. Please be aware my little boy has 1 gift missing this Christmas. I'm hoping you won't risk it.

Tip for consumers:
Do not use it I got caught out.

Verified purchase

This order arrived with all items damaged during packaging and showing strong signs of wear and tear (strong scratches and abrasions, tears, bending and folding of the boxes due to pressure, some items had even been opened). Every single order I have placed with them (all Lego sets) has arrived similarly damaged. To the point that I wonder if they don't buy back some damaged lots or "seconds", hence the low prices (but they sell them to you as new). Either this, or their storing facilities/staff are so bad and their packaging staff are so pressurised that they damage everything they handle by shoving it in boxes, etc. I have taken it up several time with them, and they have never denied it, granting me a refund every time, so they know it is a problem. But the worst of it is that now, after several such complaints, they have decided to close my account and not accept any orders from me (without any previous notification, and they are now even denying me access even to my previous invoices on my account, which is not in accordance with data laws). So the jist of this company is that they ship you damaged goods, and if you complain about it, they ban you. This is on the verge of legality.

Tip for consumers:
Every single item I have ordered from them over the last 2 years has arrived damaged.

Worst customer service I have every encountered. Agent (Harry) cancelled chat with me for no reason and estimated arrival date during Christmas time was not accrurate at all. 20 days off actual arrival date. No mention of this lag time when you go to checkout for international deliveries, it is hidden in the help section instead. Response from the agent was you should have read the terms and agreements. I now am without a christmas gift for Christmas. Will never use this website again and I will be letting others know to avoid IWOOT.

Had a bad experience with IWWOT first time around but decided I would give them another try as I think they have some cools stuff. What a mistake, don't order from them. Ordered the Mystery Geek T-shirt 10 Pack on the 3rd of December expecting they would arrive in time for Christmas, the estimated delivery was the 18th. No sign of them. Contacted customer support on the first of January and was told they hadn't been dispatched but this was flagged to the warehouse. A full month later with no contact or update form them I reached out again today and have been told they were never dispatched and are now out of stock. They kindly cancelled the order for me and offered me a £5 credit on my account as a gesture of apology, a miserable gesture at that and a voucher that wont get used as I won't be shopping there agan and you shouldn't either.

Tip for consumers:
Avoid them!

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE-
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE-
I ordered 4 mugs on the 13th of september, after numerous emails and responses telling me they *will be dispatched soon* and them not being dispatched, paypal refunded me. However today, I recieved a parcel containing two mugs ( i ordered 4!)

It would be great, if the mugs that were sent were actually what I ordered. One cup came smashed to bits and another mug arrived that was completely different to anything i ordered (I ordered rare dunne style mugs, and i was sent a super mario)
I wish I had looked at all the bad reviews over the internet before purchasing from these bunch of duds.

I can absolutely advise against purchasing from SOWIA / IWOOT, I ordered a phone there in October (order no. *******) - the whole thing is very reminiscent of a pyramid scheme paired with tax evasion. Save the writing with the (BOT-) customer service and I can only urgently advise bounced customers to report the company to the UK consumer protection HMRC (! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!) And to contact you directly to the financial service providers ask them to put the companies of "THG" on the list of "Highrisk Sellers" (! ALSO VERY IMPORTANT! WRITE TO PAYPAL, KLARNA, VISA, MASTERCARD etc etc, you know!), "THG" also includes IWOOT, ZAVVI, lookfantastic.com, Mankind.co.uk, Ry.com.au, etc., see their Wikipedia entry of "The Hut Group" - the game is on all of THG's sales pages and in all countries the same, please just read, that goes into the hundreds of cases.

Reviews on Trustpilot and other review sites are usually fake anyway - they are recognized by the fact that always a fake name is mentioned by the customer service. Or other, old one-liners.

Paid merchandise is either not sent out to customers, returns are despite evidence allegedly never arrived in the UK camp (keep account with tracking number!), Should you arrive, the repayment remains nonetheless, the customer service plays on time and tells you about the horse, jajaaaaa, Sorry, money comes in 3-5 days, or just not, certainly not... The customer service is pseudo polite, but makes absolutely nothing and plays only on time or tries with maximum gagging tactics so that you give up at the end, Critical entries are blocked on Instagram. There is no telephone, no employee answers to the Paypal email address. It's the absolute horror, I did not experience something like that.

IMPORTANT - especially with Paypal payment is lied that they can not refer the money back to your account because of a supposedly open "conflict" because Paypal would block the transfer - bull$#*!, never a "conflict" never never as "solved" mark until the money is in your account! Because once the "conflict" is "solved" it can not be opened again, and IWOOZ / SOWIA knows that. You see your money virtually not back and have it yourself in the way:-)... The case was also reported Paypal, because they had little sense of humor, because that's simply called malicious scam.

Will case also report to the press in Manchester and write to the investors - I'm sure eeeeeinige customers feel addressed and join in, for sure.

Never ever ever again. Let it be easy, you want to burn money then buy WinZIP or donate to WinRAR.

I CAN REPEAT ONLY - report this scam at HMRC and your financial services provider, then they will finally blocked and customers will not be ripped off anymore.

And dear customer service - please no blah as an answer, no apology, nothing. You have my order number, did not do anything within 1.5 months and do not have that at all:-) So please save the excuses.

This site has made me so furious! I ordered something from them for my nephew. Every time I went on the site, I got information such as: Problem with payment.
Etc. I finally received a terribly packed, (almost busting open) huge box with a bright green/yellow foldout chair... I was charged on my account a figure that DIDN'T EVEN MAKE ANY SENSE! I was charged 196.00? I don't know where that figure came from, because what I ordered was smaller, and about 119.00 or less. I could not get an answer through email. I had my ATT account changed for international calls so I could call them. I was having trouble because the #'s seemed to be disconnected. I think I was never so pissed off at my bad judgement ever before. I had to "FIND" them on facebook and paste my VERY ANGRY letter at least 20 times before someone contacted me. LOOSERS! INCOMPETENT! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

I bought this Three T-shirt for my dad and brother and husband but unfortunately Sizes all say Large although some were very tight and others were Little bit loose. They are all brilliant quality and the range of cool designs were all something I would wear. Not sure a guy would have been so pleased with the selection though.
