“I too went through HELL!”

debra d.
8/8/10

I too went through HELL! W/ Kevin and I was a ferocious nasty witch. Different though than most of you, I never entered the site. I got emails goading me to go in or lose my bid points- trust me i was tempted to get something. I was so f-ing mad though i refused and just kept fighting w/ Kevin. This started 8-9 and today the 26th I finally got a refund for $150. But trust me I had to be tenacious! What I did learn though is being respectful to him went a long way. I had started out as a demon from beyond hell, calling him terrorist and filthy names coupled w/ chilling threats. I was exhausted and SOOO angry. I stopped and regrouped, decided to be HUMAN w/ him as my other self wassad and unhappy, and exhausted. I spoke to him respectfully and thanked him for his cooperation in advance, today my bank assured me it came in last night. Needless to say, lesson learned. Good luck everyone. Don't let the Hate eat you up!

“What a major rip off!”

brenda c.

What a major rip off! I signed up believing I was getting some free bids, next thing you know they charged my credit card (which they said they needed in case I won a bid) $150! After trying to contact a human being, I was also sent to web site, but could still not get any refund. Worst of all... all they stuff they have available for bidding is the same uselessjunk they have had for months. Don't even get caught in their crooked scam like I did!

Absolute rip off. Should have heeded the "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". Signed up for the free 300 bids, only find out that it cost me $150. It is unrefundable, no matter how much you complain. The same items are for bid everytime you log in. Then when you start to feel desperate to atleast get something for your $150, everything has huge shipping cost. No use contacting them, they don't reply. This is such a scam being run by thieves.

Stay away from this website. Total scam! Like every one else, I got ripped off and was charged for $150.00 when I signed up to this website. I won 6 bottles of Centrum Multivitamis and they charged me additional $13.76. When the products arrived, it was not Centrum but some unknwon brand. I E-mailed them and requestd a refund, no one get back to me. I tried to dispute this website from my credit card company but didn't succeed. So stay away from this thieves and con artist people.

It's a ripoff. When you sign up, you are immediately charged $150 for 300 bids, even though you haven't bid on anything yet. Bidding involves clicking on a bid button that increases the bid price by a penny. If a $200 item sells for $60, that's 6000 bids. They make $3000 just on the bidding! I'm not waiting around to see if they actually ship the merchandise. I already cancelled my credit card.

Same complaint as the others. I rechecked the fine print and still not seeing where there is anything about being automatically charged the $150. Definitely beware of this site. Has anyone been able to recoup their loss?

I was on a Fox News page looking at articles. One of them was an article about this web site. I click on it and my computer closed out of explorer for some reason. When I went back in to try to find it I ran across this page instead. Thank you all for saving me $150. I am very dissappointed. Every link on that page was a Fox news story they were even in the address bar. What is Fox news thinking? I really thought they were investigative reporters. Must no apply if they are making money.

Stay away - they charge you $150 without you explicitly consent to it... and would refuse to refund the money. O. K. I accepted this and won two auctions - AND NEVER GOT any of them. Complete scam!

I fell for this scam also... it was even mentioned on Good Morning America, shame on them! The first thing they do when you sign up on this site is deduct $150 from you banking account... I am going to dispute it, in addition to contacting the Better Business Bureau for false advertising. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM!

This is definitely a scam and I fell pray to it as many others have. I called my credit card company and they were able to broker a compromise -$50 refund of the $150 total. However the customer service people at jumbo closeouts were defiant and bullying. Absolutely keep away from this deceptive website. I am taking it further like many others.

Like the rest of you I have been taken for the $150 US. I have called VISA and they have been unhelpful in doing anything about this, I think they are just as bad as this site... I am going to cancel all my VISA cards!. I have sent the-email to request the money back, but have no hope of getting anything back. What a scam and nothing can be done about it. What a wonderful world we live in... buyer be ware.

Beware of this site. I signed up and they debited my account for $150. I talked with customer service and found out I couldn't get out of it. I decided to try my hand at bidding and couldn't even find a place to sign on to my so-called membership. I've closed my bank account and I will be filing a dispute to recoup my money. Stay far away from this one.

I agree with all the previous postings. On one auction for an iPad, there was a bidder named "Brozsko76" who placed over 4500 bids. That computes to $2250! Who would spend that kind of money on a $499 item? I believe that I was bidding against the house. A total ripoff and poor selection. Try QuiBids instead. At least there is a bigger selection and you have a chance.

I GOT AN EMAIL OR POP-UP ON MY COMPUTER OFFERING ME 300 FREE BIDS FOR REGISTERING THEN YOU HAD TO ENTER CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. THIS SEEMED REASONABLE FOR COVERING ADDITIONAL COST OF WINS... IF ANY. I READ THE AGREEMENT, IT WAS LATE AUGUST OR SEPTEMBER 1, I USED MY BIDS AND GOT A CHARGE FOR $150 ON CREDIT CARD IN OCTOBER... THIS IS A SCAM... I HAVE FRAUD PROTECTION
AND HAVE CHARGED JUMBOCLOSEOUTS WITH FRAUD... DON'T SIGN UP WITH THESE CROOKS... I GOT NO RECEIPT NOR RECORD OF MY TIME THERE! SAVE YOUR MONEY.

DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! JUMBOCLOSEOUTS is a scam. I am going to try to get my money back from these idiots. FBI, BBB, my bank, whatever. I will not let them steal from me like this. Since they took my money, they have only had about 20 items at most to bid on... The bidders are pretty stupid as they bid and keep bidding until the item finally is won... Who the hell bids on vitamins? What a crock. Make sure to fight to get your 150 back!

Sure enough. I was considering checking it out, but this review thread got me checking things out and it's buried in the terms and conditions:

8. BIDS

Bidding rights or bids ("Bids") must be purchased and paid for by you prior to online bidding. When signing up you will be charged $150 for 300 bids.

Thanks for saving me $150!

I too have sent billing and support emails, but get this they just respond with a simple thank you. LMAO! I am planning on taking further action. I am wondering has anyone recieved any sort of credit back from thier bank or seen any other action when filed complaints with BBB or police departments?

An absolute rip off. I signed up on the evening of 7/30 after reading a news article online about the site. I read the privacy policy and there was no mention of the $150 fee for signing up. I have requested a refund several times and this was the reply "I am so sorry but all bid packs purchased are non refundable. That money is used to buy products and the amount of money spent on products is based on users. I hope this does not cause you too much heartache. Email me with any questions. I am here for you." I have entered a dispute w/ my credit card and I have called and left a message w/ the company. DO NOT SIGN UP!
