Kalos installed a new Carrier AC heat pump in my house 2 years ago and the blower motor died this week. It has a 10 year warranty but you can't get replacement parts unless you use a licensed contractor. So, even though I easily replaced the blower motor with a part I bought, Carrier won't send me a replacement because I'm not a licensed contractor. And Kalos wanted to charge me a total of $450 to do the job. First had to send a guy out to diagnose problem and then order the part from Carrier and then come out and install new part. What's that a week later? It's 93 degrees outside. So, I spend $5000 for new system and just 2 years later another $450 to fix piece of crap Carrier unit. You'd think I could bring them the defective part after I uninstalled it and they could get me a replacement, but then they wouldn't make any more money off me. I feel like I'm back in Massachusetts with this kind of service. Thanks for nothing Kalos. I'm SURE I can find a company that knows how to treat their customers right.
