“Online shopping as it should be”

Pauline C.
2/2/16

I only recently discovered this Calgary based company online retail business for sporting/outdoor apparel and equipment. I wish all online retailers could meet such high standards. The website is easy to navigate. The order process is easy. There is good communication about processing and tracking. In essence the turnaround time for order receipt, processing and shipping has been 24-36 hours. The free standard shipping used for packages going to "larger" centres, Charlottetown PE included, is Expresspost with Canada Post. I have made several purchases online and have had to return only one item. There was less than a 24 hour delay to get a shipping label from the company for the free return. My refund was processed within a week. I am totally impressed by the efficiency of this company.

“Gift Card dissapointment from Out There store down town”

K L.
10/28/17

I feel it should be mandatory for stores that are planning to close to make it aware. There are many good customers that had Gift Cards worth hundreds that are now worth nothing. Surly Out There had a customer list, surly Live Out There is using it now. Sure down town Calgary is not booming as it once was, we understand that. Good customers lost good money not knowing of the closure. Live Out There should honor at least a portion of the customer loss.

Thank you for your comments. Although Live out There is a completely separate business, I am sorry to hear you did not have a chance to redeem your gift card with our affiliate store Out There Adventure Centre. Us outdoor retailers are normally known for our service and attention to our customer's needs so we regret that our sister store somehow missed the mark! The team at OTAC worked hard to advise and did the best they can to notify all of their e-mail subscribed customers that the store would be closing down in June, a few months in advance. We do agree that it is necessary as a business to make sure to our customers know in advance of closure! I have addressed your comment to our team, and we will work diligently to ensure a similar situation does not occur with the Live out There shopping experience. We appreciate the feedback and will use it to fine tune our operations.
