Anaesthetist booked by surgeon uses this 'service' to invoice and collect pre-payment of out-of-pocket expenses. I received email requesting immediate payment (7 days before procedure). I tried phoning to pay via their preferred method but did not have time to wait in a queue indefinitely. I paid 2 days later by BPay and emailed my bank's payment receipt as instructed. In the 2 days between invoice and payment, I received multiple missed call notifications, a text message and sent MedicNet an email acknowledging their multiple calls and confirming I would pay. On the morning after I paid, I took a call asking if I had received their initial email and invoice. I confirmed I had and advised that I had paid and emailed my bank's receipt as instructed. Apology? No... staff member informed me that payments and related emails go to another section of the company which she can't access! After such unapologetic incompetence and a zeal bordering on bullying for payment, I postponed my procedure to a later date so I may have a different anaesthetist. I called to request a refund but was forced to leave a message as they were too busy to answer the phone. I emailed a request for a refund. I called again this afternoon. Again forced to leave a message when they were still too busy to answer my call. NEVER EVER going to deal with these people again or any doctor that uses them. Their persistence borders on harrassment. Wish they'd put the same energy into improving their internal communication.
