I purchased a one year six month membership from this gym just before the summer of 2019. Once Covid kicked off I was informed by the Gym that all accounts would be frozen until we felt comfortable returning to the gym. I was relieved being a mother of three and having elderly parents, I knew I needed to tread carefully getting back into the gym when the time came and I appreciated that my membership would be there waiting for me without losing any time. Well months down the line I find out that that was not true, and that my membership was active the whole time and that I basically missed out on half of a membership I paid for upfront. This was very upsetting to me so I decided to allow my 18 month membership to lapse and not return to this gym. Suddenly this month, December 2021, nearly 23 months since I stepped foot in that gym, I noticed a charge. Upon further investigation I realized that this company decided to switch my membership to month month, and start charging me without authorization. They had done this for nine months without me noticing. When I called assuming it was an error and that I would get refund, I was told that a generic email went out to all members stating they were going to do this. I never received such an email. I was refused a refund and completely left hanging. I would highly recommend going to a different gym. If you feel you need to use this gym, pay in cash. I regret ever putting my debit card on file.
