I had to find out the hard way how incompetent this practice is.
Their phone system sucks. All calls go to a call center. Wait time is 10-30 minutes. They will not allow you to talk to the office. They put you on hold while they text the office with your question or issue. When I told the office about this they said to tell the call center you want to talk to the office. Well that did not work. Obviously people working in the office have no clue on how to deal with the call center.
I was scheduled for surgery with a week notice. I needed a blood test, EKG and Cardiac Release form signed. I kept texting them to tell them the requirements and they kept saying my surgeon should have a list of requirements (They didn't believe me). They said they never received the release form that my surgeon's office faxed. My surgeons' office has proof that the fax went through.
I got the blood test results. However, the doctor's office never sent the results to the surgeon's office. I brought my hard copy to my pre-op visit since I did not trust that my doctor's office would send the blood test to the Surgeon's office. Well, guess what, I was right and it was a good thing I brought the test results with me.
They scheduled my EKG but no Doctor's appointment. I went to get it but that's all I did. No Dr. scheduled or seen (knowing I needed a release form signed.) They sent signed results the morning before scheduled surgery with a note that I was not cleared for surgery because I didn't see my PCP. Many calls back and forth the between my PCP and surgeon day before surgery. One Medical was rude on these calls and offered no assistance. Per my surgeons's office, they did not follow proper protocol for surgery.
Numerous calls and texts for a week and they refused to schedule me to see a Dr. in a timely manner so I can have my surgery as scheduled.
They lack communication and are unwilling to make things right at my expense. One person even blamed me for inaccurate information. I had also told them to call my surgeons's office to ask their questions. But no, they didn't do that either. SO UNACCEPTABLE.
