“Deceptive practices & Piss Poor Customer Service”

I ordered a tailgate light bar w/rear sensor. They sent this one order in two different shipments and used two different carriers. Something is not right about this. The Light Bar was 60" long and the carrier (USPS) said they left it in or at the mailbox. I have a community mailbox which is only large enough for letters and small packages. There is no way they could have put a 60" light bar in that mailbox, yet OPT7 is sticking to their "delivered" notice. Then they pull you through the ringer to get any justification. They only offer a discount on another product, "that ain't happening," or they may give a courtesy replacement if you have a police report or a lost/stolen letter from the carrier. This whole thing is a scam. Why would a company split an order and use two different carriers. STAY AWAY from OPT7.

Ordered a 60" Tailgate Light Bar which they claim was delivered in my community mailbox, which can only hold letters and small packages. A 60" light bar would not fit in that mailbox but OPT7 still claims it was delivered. SCAM....

Service only give bot emails. No phone number to call. Lights faulty, avoid these lights. Tried 6 times to get help and was ignored

Product lasted less than 1 year! Customer Service wrote they would send a replacement but later wrote they would not.

Don't know who else that gave a negative review delt with Ben k. But their product is junk had to replace the under body kit twice and ben says you didn't hook it up right. You can clearly see that it wasn't sodered correctly. Don't waste your time or money dealing with these pos!

Had OPT7 headlights for only 2.5 years and one started blinking when hot so I tried to warranty the light. OPT7 told me the light was out of warranty and that the fluxbeam was also discontinued. The last thing they said was to look elsewhere for a replacement. So not only did they not try and make it right they told me to go somewhere else. REAL NICE! So now I have to buy a new set of lights so they match. Wish I wouldnt have wasted my money, and this is after buying 7 sets of lights for my vehicles. Their customer service SUCKS! Beware. Also I wouldnt have even give them 1 star but cant leave a review without one.

WORST COMPANY I EVER DEALT WITH. TRYING TO GET REPLACEMENTS FLUX X LED AND THEY HAVE NO CLUE. I THINK ALL CUSTOMERS SHOULD GET A ATTORNEY AND SUE OPT7. PISS POOR COMPANY.

Ordered led taillights. First set for dually style which was not even an option.
Ordered second set, verifying part number, wrong again.
Cannot get anyone on phone, after two months they could not get a proper part number, just said we can't fit your truck with taillights. Go to site right now, truck is listed for availability. No explanation, just see ya after jerking me around for two months.

Ordered a set of bulbs for 2014 VW Jetta, was led to believe they were vehicle specific and they are not, require a special bracket or modification to install. Wires are way to long. Customer support was no good and they would not take the product back they said it was outside the return window. I had ordered the product in July and it did sit on my shelf until January when I had time to try and install. I would suggest getting a set of bulbs that are plug and play. There are a few out there, same price less hassle.

First off I contacted customer service with a warranty claim on a defective HID ballast right out of the box. It takes nearly a week for a response with every email. After running me around with troubleshooting tips and telling me that they would replace the bad part, they decided not too. The first emails said "Sorry to hear about the one bulb not performing as expected. In cases like this I can simply replace the component that is not working correctly with a brand new part." and "Let me know the results and I will get that part shipped out ASAP, thank you!" But when I provided them a copy of my invoice they told me "Unfortunately, I will not be able to send replacement parts as this kit was ordered through warehouse deals, inc, and not OPT-7."
I ordered the light from Amazon, Warehouse Deals, NIB with 2 Year Warranty, but they do not stand behind the product they make if Amazon or anyone else sells it.

This website is all dolled up but in this case looks can be very deceiving. I bought many products from this website in a very short period of time. Every single product I bought has failed. This includes two HID kits and two HID fog light kits. Most of the time the ballasts quit working after a few weeks. The only contact method they provide is by email. Which on average takes weeks for them to respond. When I finally was able to return my items they never issued the return. Stay away!

I installed this light kit on my Vulcan nomad. Did a very meticulous professional installation. No sooner did the season start the led colors began to fail. First red then blue and eventually green and white. Then the lights would just flash on and off. I had a replacement module sent to me and it fixed the problem for two days. Red stopped working again and red for me is the important color for nighttime driving. I am not one for opting for cheap stuff and didn't realize i was going cheap with this system. I have asked about a professional level module -commercial grade but they don't make one. Many hours installing this system has been wasted. Would not recommend unless they offer an upgraded processor / light control module.

Company canceled my order without first contacting me first with no explanation just an automated email saying it was canceled. No phone number listed only an email. I emailed them about it and this was the response I recieved:

"OPT7 has completed the review of the selected order and regrettably we could not ship the order given the information entered at the time of check out.

Certain indicators or flags led the database to label the order as risky, some common risks are listed below:

1. Billing and Shipping Addresses do not match; ensure shipping matches billing
2. Expedited Shipping; generally, when combined with other risk factors
3. Our payment processor's risk system flagged the order; contact us for details
4. Billing Address is not correct; ensure your billing address is up to date
5. Non-US Issued Card
6. Shipment address is a Freight Forwarding Address
7. Unable to process international orders aside from Canada

I am sorry for this experience. I would highly recommend purchasing through Ebay since they are equipped with a system that can take care of orders such as this.

So ok I figured the issue was billing and shipping address didn't match considering I live in florida but am currently visiting my parents in ny... I've had similar issues before with other companies but after talking to a representative normally they would be able to verify that there was no fraud involved and they'll ship. I explained the situation and mentioned the fact that there is nothing in their shipping policy against it on their website as well. They responded:

"We would surely like to process your order however our database is showing indications of an order we are not able to process.

Please do purchase the item through our eBay store, here is the link: http://stores.ebay.com/opt7automotivelighting/

Should you have more questions, please let us know. We will be happy to assist you!

Have a nice day!"

I then emailed them again that I ordered direct because I had a coupon code that would not be applied otherwise and I would only purchase direct due to it and that they would lose this sale. I got no response from the company after that. My guess is they were trying to weasle out if their promotion and avoid selling their product at the discounted price. Then after reading other reviews from external sources that they will not honor their warranty if the sale is from a 3rd party site which if you haven't noticed every one of their responses are trying to push you toward their ebay store. I have read multiple reviews with people having issue with product failure in under a year.

I have used them before few times. Until recently I wanted to upgrade to better bulbs, I updated my new mailing address because I moved, SO I updated then place order and it said it has arrived but I don't see it. I looked the order and found out it mailed to old address. I was LIVID! I contacted them and they trying to tell me they can't refund and reissue me another bulb because it has mailed to my old address. I explained to them that I updated new address PRIOR ordering it because it matches my credit card billing. Now they tell me to go PayPal to file complaint and get refund. I was like WHAT! I ordered two LED kits from Opt 7. Was sent wrong parts for one kit. This is transcript of my interaction with customer service. It took three attempts to get someone to respond to me.
