Absolutely the worst, unprofessional experience I've had with a retailer! I work for the US military overseas with an FPO US ADDRESS. I placed the $3059. 70 order with Phat Tommy, went through the checkout process, and was pleased to see they did send to customers with an FPO (US Forces Pacific) address. The next communication I received was a spontaneous cancellation of the order without explanation. In this email they also said they immediately refunded the order. This transaction occurred last week and still has not posted back to my credit card. My bank has also confirmed they have received nothing from Phat Tommy. I then sent a follow up email and also called and left a message. Surprisingly, my called was immediately returned by some guy from Rich Lake, WI who had such slurred speech I could barely understand him. I can only assume he was extremely intoxicated as he started screaming at me on the phone saying we "don't do business with your kind overseas." I have to assume he was referring to US Military families living and working overseas. I told him I would have never placed the order if the address wasn't supported by the Phat Tommy checkout process, meaning they send to US ForcesPacific addresses. This can be easily verified by the Phat Tommy checkout process. He continued with his unintelligible pejoratives a while longer before he slammed down the phone and disconnected the call. It's tough enough for military families to live and work overseas without being treated like this. My recommendation would be to avoid this retailer at all costs. I have since found a great pro-military retailer, with a far superior product quality, exceptional customer service and the retailer has zero issues sending the items to a US FPO address. The salesperson who contacted me at 7:20m in the morning, screaming at the top of his lungs, should be immediately terminated. Overall, a very poor customer experience.
