Was a good customer (spent thousands there in the last 10 yrs) of this local store until a few days ago. We needed to replace a floating pool thermometer that stopped floating. We explained we wanted another floating thermometer and they sold us one, but it turned out it was not a floating thermometer. We didn't know that until we opened the package and watched it sink to the bottom of the pool. I went back to the store and the manager said they can't accept any return if the package is open. But what about the fact that you didn't give us the product that we asked for? The manager said it doesn't matter if we gave you the wrong product, you opened the package so now you have to keep it. After all these years of being a loyal customer and purchasing truckloads of pool supplies, we get screwed over an $8 item. Well, there are plenty of other Pinch A Penny's in the area so we're saying "good riddance" to this ungrateful retailer. I'm sorry we gave them all of our business. Live & Learn

In February 2017 I purchased a Pentair Mater Temp 250,000 BTU heater from Pinch-A-Penney at ******* East SR 70 in Lakewood Ranch, FL. It seemed to work well until March 2019. After five service calls under warranty we thought the problem was fixed.

We returned from Wisconsin in November 2020 (left early in spring due to Covid) and realized the problem was still there. However, now the heater is out of warranty. Pinch-A-Penney charged me $312.00 for the repair which included a part that was replaced on a previous service call exactly one year earlier. Adding insult to injury they refused next day service as they said there are other people with service calls ahead of me. My grandchildren were in town for only a few days for the Thanksgiving holiday. They spend all day in the pool, however, no heater-no pool. I called for service on Nov. 28th. They didn't get here until Dec. 2nd.

I would not recommend making any major pool purchases at Pinch-A-Penny, as they cannot properly service the product. When I really needed them to come through for me they failed. They showed up after our children and grandchildren went back to Wisconsin. I would also not recommend any Pentair product, as they also would not do anything to replace an obvious lemon pool heater. Buy any other product than Pentair.

I sent 2 emails last week and called the office (352)315-111 cancelling my service in August and asked to stopping billing. You had billed me $125 on September 3 on the 7920 credit card and you did refund the $125 on September 9.
BUT you billed me again on October 3. I called the office 12 days ago and you said you would credit back and stop billing. I have NOT received the credit back and I need you to credit back and STOP further billing.

So credit back the $125.00 charge on my credit card ending in 7920 please.

I cancelled because you replaced a T-Cell 14 months ago which was bad now, covered under warrantee - your tech took it back to the shop and verified the T-Cell was bad about a month ago. I waited a month for the replacement T-Cell and finally called another service, got the T-Cell replaced by them. I therefore do not need your service since you did NOT provide good service. Your tech is great and I had no problems with him, just you did NOT replace the defective part in a MONTH.
