This will never happen on a flight from Sydney to Europe with white people onboard. Qantas don't treat us islanders like we don't matter.
I will never fly Qantas again.

I flew to Tonga from Sydney on 27 June 2023 on QF189 seat 30B the very last seat. I was squashed between two huge men one of them I know. His upper legs were literally on my lap. The cabin crew staff were wonderful and accommodating. I let them know that I am squashed between these two men. I was moved to an aisle seat on the other side one row up and I was not allowed to lean back on my seat at all. I think the whole plane were not allowed to lean back on their seats. The middle and window seats were stacked with two big bags and 2 carry-ones on the floor. The row behind me was curtained off and the seats were loaded with luggage.
The flight was packed to the gills. The plane was only half seated and all the overhead lockers were jam packed. Bags were stuff everywhere and under the seats. Most uncomfortable flight ever. When we got to Tonga we waited more an hour for our luggage and about 50 of us were told our luggage were left behind in Sydney and to try back on Qantas next flight on Saturday 1 July. I borrowed clothes from people to wear until then and hopefully my suitcase will be here.
