In regards to my recent inquiry of the 2015 Hyundai Veloster at Reliable Chevrolet of Springfield there were many things that caught my eye that seemed rather unusual. Such as buying a car with a sticker price of $15,835 with $5,000 down, but then given an invoice that shows financing for $19,000. I was also told over the phone that I would not be sold the car without an added warranty, because Byron Dunn said "if something happens to the car he would not want to do that to the bank." This practice makes zero sense to me. The bank has a risk assessment department that determines the risks they are, and are not, willing to take on. The sales manager Byron Dunn is arbitrating risk assessment for the bank seems odd at best. Also, the added warranty was hidden under "Dealer Added Accessories." If this is a regular occurrence, in regards to the warranty, wouldn't this have it's own dedicated spot on the invoice? And I'm curious as to exactly what the warranty covers. I was under the impression that Hyundai offered a 10 year, 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. The vehicle I was trying to purchase had 40,000+ miles.

Furthermore, when I was sent a video of the car by the Scott McCarty it was on a lift and I was told they were adding a part to the car. I asked what said part was, but was denied answers. In my response to the Matthew Maxwells email I stated I was still a little interested in purchasing the car if he could potentially clear things this matter up.

Glad I save every email and record all phone calls. Im my opinion this is textbook extortion. Please come forward if this is similar to your buying experience at Reliable Chevrolet. THIS NEEDS TO STOP!
