Many of us are struggling with the battle of the bulge. Recently, Ozempic under the generic name of Semaglutide has helped many individuals to loose needed weight. I began taking Semaglutide after being diagnosed with Metabolic Syndrome. My Blood sugar crept upward to prediabetes and eventually diabetes. I needed assistance. I reached out to my general practitioner, was given a prescription but my insurance would not cover it- apparently, I was not diabetic enough. I was at
Day spa (Spa Greystone in Birmingham, Al) when I was told that they worked with a company that provided the Semaglutide at a much cheaper rate than paying out of pocket with a pharmacy and I was extremely excited! This company was RX Harmony. I paid the physician at the day spa $100 and began the program with RX Harmony aka The Joi Group-- simply hoping to lower my AIC. At the early stages, all was well. I received my packages in a timely manner, the products were packaged neatly and I received the exact amount of medicine given per my contract. After about, four months, I noticed that my packages were boxed neatly BUT I was given needles that would break off into my skin. I've used needles for injections so I knew that these needles were simply extremely CHEAP.After six months, I requested that I change my payment date until the end of the month as I was a teacher. They agreed to the change. Also, one time I received nothing in the mail and this company stated that they contacted the physician that had written the original prescription but not me. I had no idea that my medicine was being held up. I requested that they please let me know if it happened again. This week, the company's operations director- Thomas King- called me too see if he could run a payment as my card that was on file didn't have the funds-I told him that my payment date was changed - he claimed he didn't know who would accept that arrangement but the night before I sent an email about why I was using my medication so long...I sent this email before and was told TWO weeks ago that they were sending the medication out within the week. I also asked him- Thomas King- if I was supposed to be using the same medication for over the four weeks- he stated that I shouldn't, needed to throw it out and then went on about paying. I told him that I was given an extension due to how I got paid-- which was noted on my account.he went on to say-so
He needed the payment and was not going to ARGUE with me. I had been using this company to close to a year...I stated back- Argue? How unprofessional, I'm not arguing but simply trying to get an understanding of how the medication schedule works if I'm using my last vale for over five weeks. BTW-- this payment was due but the company actually schedules two months ahead and I told him I was going to pay using another card. After attempting to get clarity - this mam began to make raspberry blows, breath hard. Etc and I requested to no longer work with him but pay using another customer service agent He refused to allow me and instead stated that he terminated my subscription. He hung up. I called back on another number, spoke to a Tasia after telling her what I experienced and acting APPALLED- she sent me back to him and he again told me that he discontinued my subscription - when I asked WHY- he said I was not a good fit for the program. I called the physician who placed me in the program with these unprofessional horrible humans and my response was that she does not have anything to do with any of it after she puts you in this program. Sadly, I must also note that these people actually owe me four additional months of medication because we pay ahead of time- that I will never receive. Please be careful with cash clinics and most definitely DO NOT DO BUSINESS with The Joi Group in Atlanta Georgia or their small companies such as RX Harmon
