“Court Finds Las Vegas Attorney Thomas Michaelides Filed Forged Order”

Karen T.
10/31/20

Fraud Alert: Thomas Michaelides forged a court order and sent it to Google to remove negative online reviews after suing me for defamation. His lawsuit was eviscerated, dismissed, and the court found the lawsuit was meritless resulting in a $51,000 judgment against Thomas Michaelides. See screenshot of order. He's been disciplined four times by the State Bar of Nevada, and is now being prosecuted for the fifth time - plus forging a court order is a federal offense (18 USC 505)

Jordan Haraden Amarillo Texas insurance agent appears to have been fired from Allstate Insurance for insurance fraud and deception of consumers. Apparently Allstate did an investigation related to Jordan Haraden and the broker found several instances of fraud, such as:

The policy has lapsed for months.

Unmatched data is discovered on a policyholder's identity card. For example, company records show that the policyholder is a male, but the identity card number indicates the person is female.

The contact details of the policyholder were recently changed.

The cash value of the policy was withdrawn immediately after the contact details were changed.

If policyholders fail to pay premiums, their policies could lapse, and they could lose the cash values. Similarly, if a fraudulent agent created fictitious policies to achieve sales targets and receive sales incentives, he would likely let those policies lapse. Analysts can drill down into policy portfolios to discover unusual patterns in the frequency and the quantity of lapsed policies, which could indicate fraud. Apparently this is what happened with Amarillo Texas insurance agent Jordan Haraden.

Another method of fraud was where Jordan Haraden Amarillo Texas, Yellow City Insurance, had allegedly been "investing" client money as premiums. They use money from insurance companies' incentive programs and bonuses to cover the "investments." After they receive this money, they let the fictitious policies lapse. Crooked agents can also sell policies to customers and then neglect to file the policies with the carriers. Most customers don't want to file claims on policies, especially early in the terms, because they fear that their premiums will rise. Therefore, the agents keep all documentation on the policies instead of turning it over to the carriers. The agents are able to skim the customer's payments because the carriers don't know the policies exist.

If you suspect fraud, contact the Department of Insurance since insurance fraud hurts us all.

Thomas Michaelides Las Vegas attorney, TCM Law Group, was suspended by the State Bar of Nevada on multiple occasions, his paralegal went to jail (see attached booking photo), is sued again for legal malpractice (see attached 2018 docket) and he has allowed cases he was paid to bring get dismissed due to his own negligence.

Look at what the Nevada Supreme Court had to say about Thomas Michaelides just a year ago, in In re Michaelides (Nev. 2017) 405 P. 3d 99,

The profession was harmed because Michaelides' breach of his duties regarding non-lawyer assistants, which allowed his paralegal to engage in the unauthorized practice of law, was detrimental to the integrity and standing of the bar. The record supports four aggravating circumstances (prior disciplinary offenses, pattern of misconduct, multiple offenses, and substantial experience in the practice of law) and two mitigating circumstances (cooperative attitude toward proceedings and remorse.

Thomas Michaelides and his paralegal (unknown if she went to an actual paralegal school) Natasha_Smith_Las_Vegas acted very improperly where each were on notice Matthew Katz who did go to law school, but could not become an attorney in Nevada, was given the title of paralegal, and was allowed to practice law without a license. Specifically, Matthew Katz was arrested for Unauthorized Practice of Law, 205.390 - Obtaining Signature by False Pretense, 205.0832 - Theft by False Pretense Over $3500. See https://www.facebook.com/nyecountysheriff/photos/a****************************8161/**************/?type=3

To keep it simple, Thomas Michaelides scams people by offering a no BS, tough guy attorney, when in fact he lets his paralegal do the work for him, doesn't follow through on a case and prejudices his client.

Tip for consumers:
Thomas Michaelides Las Vegas scams people out of money, has been suspended by the State Bar of Nevada.
