Site was helpful and full of information--but 5 stars are for the customer care folks. They answered phone on first ring, they knew everything. They responded to all messages quickly. I ordered a custom chair and it took a little while--but it was worth the wait.

Have to share frustrating experience with SmartFurniture.com. Ordered a Herman Miller Eames Soft Pad desk chair that was described on their website to work on hard floors and carpet. You can see from the photo how well it works on carpet. Have interacted with 5 -6 people from the company whose job is to tell me the chair is designed that way and is not meant to be used on carpet (despite their website description), their advice is to use it somewhere I have hard floors (guess not my office) or look for a thicker carpet protector (it is scratching the one I have) and they would look at correcting their website description. Yep, that's it. My fault for using their website description to make a purchase. Making the customer happy with an improperly described and poorly designed product... not their priority. So recommend avoiding this retailer for your office needs.
