I purchased a pool alarm from swimmingpooletc! It took 5 weeks or chasing for it to finally arrive! When it arrived it was in a crumpled/dented/ripped box, it didn't have sufficient packaging for a $500 alarm system, I was appalled! I sent them an e-mail as they don't accept phone calls, explaining that I didn't have any faith that the alarm would work as it wasn't packaged properly, the box was all ripped and someone had had to sellotape part of the box, it was dented etc, I asked for a full refund. A courier arrived to collect the defunct alarm and we expected to be reimbursed. However, a few days later another alarm arrived, granted it was packaged. I sent them an e-mail asking why they sent another alarm and they said I didn't cancel the order? They went on to tell me if I return the new alarm they would charge me 25% restocking fee x2. I couldn't believe it, I never asked for a second alarm and the first one I wasn't going to take the risk. Better still the owner Jeff went on to ask me via e-mail if it was my time of the month! Yes, incredible! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
Terrible return policy! This is a swimming pool parts online retailer. Guess what? Their policy is to not except return of swimming pool parts! I accidentally ordered 2 of the same item and they would not take it back! Horrible
Was not told at the time of purchase that the item I ordered (and needed ASAP) was not in stock and ready to ship. When called they would only tell me that they ordered it from their distributor but would not tell me when I could expect it and would not call the distributor to check for me and would not give me the distributor's number so I could call. Products shipped separately and took over 1 month to get the order (remember i have a pool full of water and no pump). I was advised to buy a part i did not need and when i paid $9 to ship it back, they returned $0.43 that's right, 43 cents on a $16 item + $9 shipping. They were rude, would not provied customer service, would not let me speak to a manager to complain, hung up on me and then stole my money.
This is the worst internet company ever, do not buy from them if you want your pool equipment this year, or if you need to return something, or if you want to know when your order will arrive, or if you actually expect your money back when you return an item. Customer support is non existent, they are there, they just refuse to do anything to help you, are rude and will hang up on you. BUYERS BE WARE!
