I was looking for a specific coffee table and came across it on the website. The price was almost halved and the delivery was free. I was very sceptical but before I had time to look at reviews it was ordered by my partner. I then proceeded to find lots of negatives reviews which made me very worried. However the item came within 2 days and is absolutely perfect. Really pleased with the service and item.

I have emailed 3 times without a reply and phoned but you can't get through to anyone. My thoughts now are Scam Company. Or in financial trouble. So will be reporting to PayPal for a refund. Avoid like the Bat Flu...

Ordered a unit 14 days ago, got an email regarding order number and item description.

Item has still Not been delivered.

I have emailed 3 times without a reply and phoned but you can't get through to anyone.

My thoughts now are Scam Company. Or in financial trouble. So will be reporting to PayPal for a refund.

This seller advertised cheap wood as solid oak, with a no quibble 30 day return policy. Not so! He argued aggressively throughout my request demanding I keep chairs that were not fit for purpose and bad quality. I'm now doing a claim to get my money back through court if PayPal do not issue a full refund. He also purchased an item on my seller account purposefully to leave me negative feedback even after I left him positive feedback so it would not affect his business and employees. This business owner is a crook sells cheap nasty furniture which is overpriced and poor quality - avoid at all costs. Save up and go with a reputable company is my advice. I only wish I had seen this site before buying from him.

Table and chairs arrived, totally different from what was advertised, should have been white, it was a yellowy cream. I sent photos showing clearly that it was not as advertised, then seller went quiet! At present trying to sort return and refund! Total con! And extremely rude!

I had made the unfortunate decision to buy from this guys eBay store. I bought a foldable savoy table and it turned up snapped in half and damaged. Peter went on to offer to replace a broken chair, I told him the chair isn't the only problem, the whole table is revolting. WELL, after this I received message after message of abuse and belittling. I BEGGED for my money back as the table is unusable but he's said I have to pay postage which is £70! He is the most vile piece of crap I've ever come across! I'm getting my money back wether he likes it or not by disputing it with my bank. I'll wipe the floor with him!

He keeps saying I damaged the table and that he will send me a chair but I don't want the crappy table it's unusable!

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT BUY!!!!!

I ordered a bookcase in July 2020, I received an email saying they wouldn't be in stock until September, did I want a refund or did I want to wait. I opted to wait. BIG MISTAKE. September came and went, I have emailed the company asking for my money back, I have not received a reply. Don't buy from this company unless the product is in stock.

I recently purchased a piece of furniture from Peters eBay store which contained a contradicting and misleading description. The reply I had from the buyer was condescending and rude and he refused my return request as "it wasn't his fault I hadn't read the description properly".
The item doesn't match the other 5 pieces I have already bought from various places. (Due to my financial situation I have been buying these gradually not altogether.)
I then immediately received a prank call from an anonymous number, where a guy laughed when I answered & put the phone down. Amazing coincidence?

Please do not buy anything from ( thefurnitureplaceuk)this company online because they never send you Anything
And never reply any emails I have bought a dining table for chairs for £289:99 from this company Online
And the company never send my table and chairs
After 4 days send me 1 email to say out of stock
And he never refund my money and
I'm trying to chase them from PayPal to get my money back
And that was 5weeks ago
I have sent them more than 5 to 7. Emails never reply
Please please do not buy anything you will not get item and you will not get the money back
Don't waste your money on your time

I have ordered from this company amd by no fault of there's there is a delay in the product due to shipping issues. I contacted them and a very pleasant gentleman messaged me back promptly to explain what is happening. I wanted to write a quick review as I've seen so many negative ones and wanted to share my personal experience. So far so good and I'm very confident I will have my item as soon as possible. Very good customer care very pleasant to deal with in my opinion.

Ordered a bed, just recieved part of it. Driver rude when questioned. Emailed them and was advised I should try and be undetstanding (coronovirus!). Patronising email. I emailed back and they put an Out Of Office on (at 2.20pm on a Friday afternoon?). Left me with no updates and no bed for the weekend... Terrible terrible service.

I ordered, order was accepted, then they cancelled and refunded. I queried they told me to $#*! off

Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site. You order, fortunately pay through paypal. They cancel and refund you without telling you why. When you query why they say order again and they won't refund. When you refuse they tell you to "$#*! off". Absolutely shocking service.

Ordered and paid for some furniture only to have my order cancelled a few days later with no explanation. When I enquired they said they didn't deliver to Northern Ireland. I ask them why their website accepted by post code. I have attached their response.

This company is a joke. Recently my wife ordered trough ebay platform from this so said seller, a wardrobe. The service is appealing, the delivery company that he is using is appealing. On the 27th January 2022 my wife received a notification from ebay that the furniture has been delivered, funny, the time was 22:14. So I went quik downstairs to open the door to check the parcel might been left in front of my door. My wife received a picture with the label of the parcel, bare in mind, it was only the label in the picture. The tracking from drivers GPS was showing a different postcode. So we tried to contact the seller, this rat called Peter, who was extremely rude with my wife, he is a lucky punk because he didnt met me. We tried to ask Ebay to step in to help, this platform seems to have real issues in helping buyers who are scamed. The delivery company is called XDP, be aware of seller who might use as delivery this useless delivery company. We didn't received our parcel but the seller didn't bothered to help or to check with the depot where he shipped the parcel. And as I said, the delivery company XDP has delivered to a wrong address, we asked their customer services to check with the driver using the reference number, they where rude and even till now we havent received either the furniture or an explanation of what happened. Luckly someone advised my wife to go to bank and the bank has refunded her back. Honest to God, please avoid this seller and XDP delivery company, they are a real dissapointment

Ordered several items from this company, and am extremely disappointed with the quality of the items. In particular a 7-drawer Buckingham wide chest - within weeks the top right hand runner came away from the side and despite putting in more glue the runner is still not adhering correctly or enabling the drawer to run smoothly, resulting in non-alignment and has caused a deep mark on the side of the drawer. The drawers do not have much in - I'm wondering if it's built to look at instead of using!
Have tried ringing and e-mailed to no avail - not even acknowledging. Would never order from this company again, complete waste of money.

Awful,. Unprofessional cowboys, Had a problem with faulty bed and the man Peter was so rude and contemptuous,. Blaming me for their sub standard products. Avoid like the plague.

I have never experienced such appalling service in my life. Working in customer service myself, even if annoyed, I would never treat someone the way I have been treated by this horrible company. I simply asked for amy order to please be cancelled as I had to purchase from elsewhere due to time frames and not knowing when to expect the order from them as I never received confirmation and I was called an incompetent idiot for not waiting for my order and told to revalue myself before ordering again! They are not worth shopping with even if their prices are a bit low I would never dream of recommending them to anyone! Peter or whatever he's name is a rude f**king pr*ck and how the hell he even has a job there amazes me because with someone like him working for the company I'm surprised they get any sales at all! Absolutely disgusting response and I hope he is treated the way he treats others! He deserves nothing less, tw*t! Avoid this so called company at all costs! Not even worth 1 star!

I ordered this on Wednesday & received it 2 days later on Friday. Now that's quick delivery. Compared to similar dining sets this is very well priced and with free delivery. Great to have the option of paying by Paypal as well. Overall very pleased!

Doesn't understand his legal obligations, ordered 3 pieces, 1 they did not have in stock even though the website said they did. When I tried to cancel the order he delayed, got rude and dismissive when I decided to go through PayPal after being ignored.

I ordered a bed base from here as it was the best price I could find online but thanks to abysmal customer 'service', I very soon realised why...

I asked for the item to be delivered at my Mothers address as I was at work but when it arrived she refused delivery as the packaging was badly damaged. I emailed the company (as nobody ever answers the phone) and Peter informed me that "they don't sell cardboard boxes" and it is the item inside that is of concern so he would resend the item and that any damaged parts would be replaced individually so the delivery was rescheduled for two days time. So far, a little bit of rudeness but no big deal as it does say this in the T's and C's.

It was delivery day when real issues arose and my Mother dutifully waited for 45 minutes beyond the two hour time slot but she had to leave the house for an appointment of her own. I rang the courier to chase things up and was told that the item had been delivered in her absence as Peter had told them an ABSOLUTE PACK OF LIES via email and that I had instructed them to "drop and go" without ringing the bell or obtaining a signature as my Mother may refuse delivery again as she gets "confused".

My blood truly boiling, I demanded the courier's contact number for The Furniture Place UK (which isn't the one listed on their website strangely) and got to speak to the delightful Scott who was rather distant and vague in response to any of my questions and who then abruptly hung up on me, insisting he had other customers waiting.

In complete disbelief and enraged by the whole experience, It took three more attempts at contact until I got through again and before a word even left my lips, Scott told me that he would 'phone the police for harassment' and to 'go and f**k myself'.

Thankfully there is nothing wrong with the item itself as I was understandably dreading any further possible contact with these faceless, lying, despicable cowboys. I've never experienced anything like this before and hopefully never will again, ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!

I tried to buy a bed from this 'business' but paypal kept crashing. I emailed asking if I could pay by an alternative method but was told that they didn't want to do business with me if I was 'too stupid to use paypal.' Unbelievable.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I bought an item of furniture which was not as described. I took this up with a person I assume was the owner. That person was repeatedly incredibly rude to me, customer service skills were zero and he was exceedingly argumentative, insisting there was nothing wrong with my item of furniture despite him having never seen it.

The person then went on to mock me openly. They are an atrocious company to deal with if anything goes wrong. My issue was minor and should have been swiftly and easily resolved. Instead it escalated to this with utter denial anything could ever go wrong or be wrong for them.

A deluded company which should be avoided at all costs.

They've only got one star because I had to - if i had my way they would be well in to the minus stars!

I bought an item that is faulty and cannot get anywhere with them.
They never answer the phone. I have sent numerous emails and they have never replied to one of them.

Looks like I'll have explore other avenues to take matters further.

STAY AWAY! Appalling customer service and products, ordered a superking Oak bedframe and in few months it started to develop cracks in the headboard and started to make squeaky noises which shouldn't be the case if it was a real Oak bed as they claim. I have been trying over a month to reach them out, they never reply to emails, incorrect mobile number on their website which make me think they are scammers! Wish I have read the reviews over here before ordering. I won't give up and I will do everything to get this sorted out. I am taking them to small court and have just contacted citizen advice, these guys have just messed up with the wrong person.
