Th website is poorly designed with items hard to find. Th search function is useless with results being shown at the bottom of the page, making you think that no results were found. When it comes to the actual service of the company, after a little bit of research found that prices elsewhere are cheaper with a better designed website. Unfortunately found out this too late as I placed an order which took almost 2 weeks to arrive with some incorrect items and very, very poor communication from the company.
I have just received my first order and i have to say i am really pleased! It tooks 4 days to arrive and i got the free delivery by spending £78. I chose lots of different items and i was really happy with how it arrived and the packaging. The sausages came in a polybox with a cold pack which was great and re-assuring and it was an all round great experience. I am not too sure about the first review with the prices, the are definetly the lowest around and if you look at others you will see how much others charge for the same goods! Recommended and now my favorite website!
The website it's ok itself, you'll find many good italian products at very competitive prices, the problem is the customer service which basically don't exist. If you buy there will be all fine as long as they have in stock everything you ordered, otherwise be ready to receive cheaper substitutes with no chance to complain either by phone or email, they will just ingnore you breaking all the rights the buyer has buying goods by distance.
I have just ordered and i am really pleased with the products and service! I was looking for Amaro Averna and these guys were the cheapest around so i placed my order for 6 bottles and got free delivery on checkout. It took 3 days for me to get my order and i got 6 bottles as ordered but i also got a free bottle of wine which was great and a nice touch. After i ordered, i looked on this site and saw the reviews so it made me nervous but to be honest people can be petty and i don't see an issue in ordering 6 bottles of Averna and getting delivery in 3 days. So what that they don't answer the phone, i pay with my credit card online so whats the risk... none! All in all a pleasant experience and they have a great gift section that i will be visiting at xmas time.
The prices are lower than anyone else, the range is bogger than anyone else and i can get proper Italian food and wine that is actually from Italy, un-like the other overpriced stuff that is for export!"
OK BEWARE, I ordered 5L olive oil, they delivered a different CHEAPER olive oil, of course they had debited my card for the cost of the more expensive one.
My email efforts to remedy resulted in 1 reply from them, from which I would guess they enjoy their customers' frustration, they definitely don't give a dam.
