“Awful finish”

L R.
5/28/22

Recently bought our first home and the first job we wanted doing was painting of the exterior. Contacted spray works and all went well, got booked in really quickly and comms were great. They requested we have scaffolding put up which we did (at an additional cost and it's not cheap)! I signed a document when they arrived to say we would pay as soon as the job was completed or there would be additional costs added. After day one they asked for half of the payment which was not part of the agreement? Job complete (after walking paint through our house! They did clean it but not impressed on our new cream carpets!) and we were asked to check the work. Admittedly it looked great, but the scaffolding was still up and we did not know at the time that this was hiding a horrendous job. We were also asked to check at around 8pm when the light was not amazing. Fast forward a week when we had the scaffolding removed and our hearts dropped. The work was no way near professional, noticeable patches all over the front and back of our house, paint all over the canopy above our front door, (and we had already noticed paint all over our garden patio and drain pipes, the pavement outside our house and even our plants had received a makeover?) So obviously, we complained. It took over 3 weeks to get a response- that being that they were not coming back because we had signed to say we were happy. They also accused us of having washed the paint? (Wish I had time in my day to even consider doing such a thing?) and it was apparently evident we had had the windows cleaned which caused the marks? We had not had them cleaned and if we had should the walls not have been able to take that or are we not allowed to wash our windows ever again? Don't ask a customer to pay for scaffolding to then not give a chance to see the job without it? OR. Do the job properly to begin with? General rules of running a business I think Awful job done Awful customer service Money down the drain 0/10 - use at your own risk
