I flew to Orlando from Texas to meet with multiple venues for my wedding, STK being one of them. I contacted Amber from STK in July, after a few interactions, none of which were that great, i set up a consultation with her for November 8th. Having never received a confirmation for our noon meeting I showed up at the time discussed only to get a phone call from a Barbara letting me know she wouldn't be there until 12:15. We told her no big deal we would walk around a little more and meet her at 12:30. When we arrived at STK we asked for Amber as she was the one I had made the appointment with months in advance. A few minuets later Barbara came up and introduced herself and said Amber was in meetings and unable to attend and she would be the one showing us around as well as another group looking to have an event, not very personal but OK. She took us upstairs to show us around and as we are looking around the host brings up another lady that was also looking to have an event. I ask Barbra when can we sit down to talk about the menu and cost and to answer any questions we may have. She told me that i would need to contact Amber to go over any questions I may have! WHAT?!? The whole reason I set up a consultation was for this reason! Why on earth would you set up a consultation when you're not going to be there? I flew from Texas to meet with you! If I wanted to do everything over the phone I would have done that from home not spent thousands of dollars to go to Orlando! I asked to speak with the manager and Robert came to speak with us. We told him we just felt he should know what was going on at his restaurant and explained what happened. He asked us to give him another chance and he would personally show us around and answer our questions. He took us back upstairs where he was able to answer few of the questions we had, reverting back to the " you'll have to go over that with amber". He apologized profusely and assured us we would receive a phone call from Amber or himself in the next 24 hours. That was on Thursday 11/08/2018 and today is 11/13/2018 and I have yet to hear from either of them. I have even called Mr. Davis and have not heard back. I am an event coordinator for BMW and would never eat dinner here much less have an event or wedding here after this experience! Save yourself some time and go next door to the Paddlefish, they nailed it oh and ask for Kate, she is amazing!
