I bought the 2020 Dumpster Fire ornament and it is literally a dumpster fire. First, the product took 2 months to ship and I received it late Jan 2021. Of course, this company didn't say anything about the shipping time or status. When I finally received the product it turned out to be a fake. I've reached out to their customer service a bunch and all they do is say, "Sorry, we understand this is frustrating. Here is a voucher for 30% off your next purchase." They will not refund the money... Don't buy from them if you have half a brain.

I bought the 2020 Dumpster Fire ornament and it is literally a dumpster fire. First, the product took 2 months to ship and I received it late Jan 2021. 50 days and multiple complaints before trinkets were delivered- broken. I felt they sent numerous bogus "on the way" emails to string me along and never would have delivered their crappy merchandise if I had not hounded them. Run away! Bad people!

Like everyone, ordered ornaments December 2, with 1-2 week shipping via DHL. They weren't even shipped until the end of December and arrived via USPS, they didn't even send the correct ornaments, instead of a nicer traditional bulb they just sent an extra cheap plastic dumpster fire, it was... well literally and figuratively a dumpster fire. The ones that did arrive were extremely cheap plastic toys without a way to hang them. A complete waste of (since I ordered multiples) $60.

Similar to everyone else here, I placed an order on November 30 for 4 items with an expected delivery sometime around Christmas. I received 1 item around the expected date but NOT as it had been pictured on the website. I had a sense of humor about it, because 2020 was ridiculous in general, but after the new year arrived, I began to worry about the rest of my order. I had received no updates at all during this time. I contacted customer service and thus began a two week drama where I repeatedly asked for updates and resolution, and they sent me responses that in no way addressed my questions or concerns. At one point, they offered me a discount on an additional order while completely ignoring my requests for return information. They eventually stopped responding altogether, only to send me an email a few days later telling me my other items had shipped (they had never responded to my requests for updates on these items throughout the ordeal). I did recently receive them, much bigger and more poorly designed than described, broken and without batteries. Fortunately, I filed a dispute with my credit card company and finally got my refund. I would be happy to send the items back, but again, they never responded to requests for return information and it is listed on their website that the customer pays for return shipping. And I told them repeatedly that I did want to continue with the order prior to them shipping 3 of the 4 items. 100% do not order from this merchant.

I just got the ornaments I ordered. It's mid-January. I ordered December 4th with the promise they'd be delivered in 1-2 weeks. I asked to cancel after New Years, but they said I couldn't because my order was "being processed." Took another week before they shipped it, and another week+ before it arrived. And now - no batteries. Just dumb.

Same story as all the other reviewers: ordered the trash fire piece in Dec and it arrived sometime in Feb. The plastic hinge was broken straight out of the box, and I spent about 6 weeks trying to get them to refund me for it (or even accept a return!). This all proved futile with the same fobbing-off techniques others experienced: shipping update emails which are clearly generic and sent via mailing list, refusing to send shipping details or tracking numbers, offering vouchers for subsequent purchases (without actually including a voucher code), refusing to accept returns. I ultimately opened a dispute with PayPal which ruled in my favour so I got my money back at least.

Tip for consumers:
Avoid at all costs.

I ordered some 2020 dumpster fire ornaments as a Christmas gift on December 8th. I knew they might not arrive before Christmas - but I kept getting weird and confusing emails from Washingoal that they had "shipped," but with no tracking info.
Christmas came and went and the order was still in "processing."
Their customer service was awful. When I finally asked for a refund, I was told "We can't refund you because your order is in processing."
The items didn't arrive until today, January 13th. They're both broken at the hinges, the lights don't work, and they are made of the cheapest, thinnest plastic I have ever seen. They look nothing like what the site had pictured.
Never ordering from them again.

Tip for consumers:
Don't buy from them. I spent $50 on these cheap pieces of recycling plastic that are broken, don't work, and took a month and a half just to ship.

Took almost two months to arrive. Arrived broken and without a battery. Just a bunch of cheap plastic pieces. The reviews on site are all fake. Says the ornament is sturdy, looks great and has nice weight to it... all false. Looks like it cost about 2 cents to make. I've been had. I bought it because of the great reviews which are obviously fake. Ugh.

Avoid like the plague. Total scam

It's been 2 months since I ordered ornaments from this "American" company. Their emails were cute at first, from the "CEO", talking about the progress of my product and where it was in the process. Things got weird when a "flaw" was found in one of my items which was sent back to be fixed. Once that was fixed, suddenly it got held up at "customs" because of a different item (customs? It was supposed to come from the US!), but I was promised by the fake CEO that my "quilt" was okay (Um I bought plastic ornaments?). I've reached out to their customer service several times and have received extremely curt "it will get there when it gets there, we don't have a tracking number yet" messages. Two weeks ago, I finally got a tracking number. But as of today (1/17/21) it still says "not found". I tried to get a refund before the tracking number was sent, and they refused. Do not order from this site! Even if it's not a scam and I get my item eventually, they were deceptive about their location and clearly don't have their $#*! together.

Ordered a 2020 glowing Xmas tree ornament. Ordered it in November 26th... arrived not exactly looking like the photo (the flame is just a cheap hunk of orange plastic), it didn't have a battery included to make the flame glow (I'm not talking about a AA or AAA battery, I mean those cheap little batteries for tiny glow cnadles) and it didn't have a string or hook to even attach it to my Xmas tree. Also, it arrived in January 21st. The ornament, ironically, was of a dumpster fire representing 2020... but it's safe to say it easily could also represent washingoal. Stay away, they are awful!

Tip for consumers:
Stay away, they don’t know what they are doing, they don’t know how to communicate back orders, they don’t know how to plan for demand, and they don’t seem to care about the delays.

In November I ordered a pair of 2020 Christmas ornaments. The website specifies that it will ship within 3-4 days and reach me within 7-10. It's been over a month and customer service says the ornament has not been produced yet--Christmas is Friday. They will not allow me to cancel the order. There is no point in getting a 2020 ornament in 2021. Avoid!

Washingoal (which also calls itself Washing Goal and Shelby Brothers, Inc.) advertised Christmas products extensively this winter. I ordered a couple of items, but it soon became clear that they had no ability or intention to deliver any items in time for Christmas, even as they continued to constantly advertise for more Christmas orders. Their products were not on hand, but were in fact made to order, and then literally shipped on the slow boat from China. But wait, there's more. They weren't actually in the mail when they left China. They then spent a week or two at a DHL sorting facility before being turned over to the post office for delivery. My Christmas order finally arrived today, January 9th. The products lacked the required button batteries to operate the lights (a type of battery most people will not have on hand). The products (2020 flickering dumpster fire ornaments) did not match the photos, and once batteries were installed, the lights did not flicker. So, this company does exist, and does send products, but they are deceptive in both marketing and quality.

Tip for consumers:
Don't expect your products quickly and don't expect them to be as advertised.

Ordered an ornament on December 6. Got nothing but "we swear we're shipping it soon, here's another coupon you won't want to use!" emails until finally, on December 26, I got an email saying it was shipped, and that I would get a tracking number in 24-48 hours. It's been four days, nothing. I didn't expect that getting an ornament in time for Christmas would require ordering in October!

Their website says nothing about who they are and where they are; if I would have known production and shipping were going to be this far away, I would have passed. Their communication is terrible, and many times they have mis-stated what I actually ordered in emails, almost as though emails are coming from a mediocre AI.

EDIT (1/14) - My dumpster fire ornament arrived yesterday... broken. I emailed them and THEY OFFERED ME A 20% OFF COUPON. (Why would I ever buy anything again from you to even need such a coupon?!?)

Do NOT place orders. They are 100-percent a scam. The addresses are all fake on their site; the buildings don't even exist.

Like others, I ordered 3 ornaments on December 6th, 2020 after falling for fake reviews. They didn't ship as promised and I tried to cancel several times. They finally arrived on January 11 with no batteries or information on what size they take. I made several requests for a US address to return the items (they came from China which also wasn't disclosed). They wouldn't provide an address or a US phone number to call and all they would offer is a 20% discount on my next purchase. Now they stopped replying to my request to return the items and get a refund although I get daily emails offering 10-15% off as a preferred customer.

Tip for consumers:
They do not honor their return/refund policy and they will not provide a phone number to speak with anyone.

When I received my order it was so cheaply made and instructions did not help. Ordered this on the 12th. Of December and received it today January 29th. Which took them at least 6 to 7 weeks to get here. NEVER AGAIN!

Ordered a Xmas ornament - 1 month before Xmas - received it a month after Xmas and they couldn't even bother to include the 1$ battery that was supposed to come with it. If you complain you get a "pat" email response that they will send over and over. Don't shop with these fools.

Tool 6 weeks to get my order. I asked to cancel after 3 weeks but they couldn't/wouldn't because the order shipped. However, they would not provide a tracking number. 3 weeks later on Jan. 11th received the product that was ordered on Dec. 3rd.

They will not let me return the product for a refund & no longer answer my emails.

This place is a complete joke. Also, this is my first review ever. I usually just accept that I made a bad decision and move on. However, this company is a scam and complete trash. Do not order anything from them.

My tip is, don't use this site or buy anything from this company.

String of evasive and vague emails have followed after I sent my request for an update. No tracking number and it's been 5-6 weeks since I placed the order. I also received the email saying it was too late to cancel my order. Contacted Paypal today to start my claim.

I ordered the "Dumpster Fire 2020" Christmas tree ornament on Dec 2nd. I was hoping to have it hanging on the tree this year, but no such luck. I received several emails stating that they are producing my product, it wasn't perfect so they have to re-make it, it got stopped in customs so it will take longer etc... Each apology email conveniently included a coupon for future purchase.
Finally received an email with a DHL tracking number on Jan 7th. When I try to track the package, it comes up empty with no information. I'm hoping to get this for my 2021 Xmas tree, to remember how bad this year was. Trouble getting this ornament adds one more thing to the 2020 dumpster fire year.
I felt uneasy ordering this from a sketchy website through a facebook ad. And I should have listened to my gut.

I ordered Christmas ornament in November and still (mid-Jan) haven't received them. I have gotten a few emails that the order is being/has been shipped but the tracking number they sent doesn't exist. I'm pretty sure that I have been scammed.

The hook was an attractive advertisement on FB (who, incidentally, should ban this scammer) and I took the bait. Here's an example of the follow-up emails I received:

I've just received a new notification from DHL.
Bad news - Their cargo transport got held at the customs because of the issues with one product in the shipping queue. They deliver big cargo transporters with dozens and dozens of packages, and the papers for one shipment were bad.
Seems like the customs at this time went quite strict lately. This is the first time we've experienced this.
DHL apologizes and updates me at this moment that the shipment has been sent again, this time without the questionable product (your quilt was completely fine, but they refused to whole cargo because of that one faulty thing). I am sorry because of this delay (MY NAME), this is the first time we received this from DHL.

First: I didn't order a quilt. Second: the "customs delay" is mentioned by several other reviewers yet the email states "This is the first time we've experienced this." Suddenly I don't feel so special - it's like finding out that your wife is feeding you the same line she fed to her Ex!
I understand that I'll never receive the product I ordered and I'm not really all that upset about it. I'm out $30 but I'm keeping a close eye on my credit card account because this outfit is completely dishonest and I'm concerned that I provided them my card number. What really bothered me was the string of cutsie email excuses they sent me (like the one above). When I called their bluff, the emails stopped immediately... and, of course, I received no product.

Avoid this company. I ordered a Christmas ornament on Dec 2nd expecting it to arrive in time for Christmas. Well it showed up February 11th. After a checking in, I'd get a "it's on it's way" email response. The ornament arrived (from China) and was an inferior design to what was shown in images on their website. And it showed up completely broken as it was packed in a tight, flimsy box with no actual padding or packing materials. I contacted the seller to advise the item was received damaged and included photos. I was told they would refund me 30% only. So I used the Paypal complaint system to continue to request a refund. They recently offered me 40% but want me to at my expense send them back their broken item. So I just escalated this to Paypal and will see where that goes. As this was just a ~$23 USD item, it more about principal than it is the actual money. They are a crap company that doesn't intend to stand by their product.

When googling them (which I wish I did prior) I found this site with all these 1 star reviews, and clients hitting the exact same problem with them. Further I found an Etsy creator that actually created the product that I thought I was ordered. Why would I think that? Well because it appears Washingoal.com actually stole the imaged directly from this creator's Etsy page. Absolutely disguising practices.

You can see from my photo attached that even if the item wasn't broken, they greatly cheapened the design but had the nerve to keep up this creators photos on their website.

Tip for consumers:
Do not buy anything from Washingoal.com. It's a company in China that steals designs from other creators (on Etsy etc.), makes subpar versions, takes forever to ship .. and won't refund when the item arrives broken. They are complete scam artists. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
