They banned my account for no reason and there is 2300 rials in my account balance. They are not responding to any email and they don't have any contact number. Once they take your money, you wont be able to contact them

I have been on WeBook since about 2006. I participated in critiquing, downloaded my work, etc. I tried the Agent in the box, but it didn't pan out. So I took my copies of some of my major work, put in for copyright and published it on Amazon ebook. I tried to go back in and participate in the review process for other Webookers and maybe put one of my own up for review. Guess what? I've been locked out I guess because I can't even get to the site. I contacted a friend of mine and he can't get in either. I guess they must be mad at me because they get nothing for my blood and guts work that they already made money on. It's my life, I have copies of everything and it's all being copyrighted, so good riddance and I will never recommend that site to another friend or in some cases groups of friends.

Webook sucks. They should do the world a favor and go away.

My book has been doing well on the site, but if I'm looking at it without bias, I've noticed that only certain genres seem to do well, no matter the quality of writing (so probably means very little that my own novels is doing well.) I've also noticed a couple forum bullies, and the administration team seems to do nothing about it. I tried sticking up for a girl on there once, and then right after that my book got hit with some low rate scores. I asked the site owner about it, and he said that yes, those rating came from those people did sound like vindictive ratings, but that they weren't going to cancel those ratings. I thought that strange. They should care about the integrity of the ratings. I also reported them for how the forum bullies were treating one girl (cussing at her and attacking her for her disability) and they said they were going to "stay out of it". Upon further research, I realized the clique leader/head bully had paid in about $50 to the site (most other people it seems have only paid in maybe $5 or so). So, at that point, it made more sense. The bully is a money bank and so they let her do whatever she wants. I guess they don't realize that in the long run it puts off MANY people who are viewing and they lose more money in the long term.

This site is exactly what it states: a great resource for up-and-coming writers to connect to editors. Other than that, it's just another online journal. The community is highly varied and plenty of cross-chatter occurs, but over a very, very long period of time. It's not a 'link-up and make friends' kind of site. While ample space is provided for just about any kind of writing project you may want to start/upload, the likelihood of it being read or even reviewed by other readers/editors relies entirely on your knack for uploading it in the broadest categories possible and with the perfect (early alphabet) title to draw attention before boredom sets in scanning through the forums. All things considered, however, not many sites like this exist and some problems are expected. Technically speaking, this site has never caused me any problems and i've been a member for quite some time. It's an excellent resource for younger writers as well, as it serves to break that initial fear of exposing one's literary poise to the world. All in all, not fantastic or mindblowing, but pleasantly appealing and unique in its design.
