Simon wright is a mentally unstable loon, he presides over his ' psycho troll empire, users range from mentally unbalanced nd unmedicated to fully psychotic, with Simon wright being at the top of the pyramid. A very poorly put together forum for trolls and angry wackos. A very sad little space for very sad people to congregate. whirlpool.net.au is an embarrassment to the online community.

I have been a member of Whirlpool, a forum for tech users originally associated with internet access and comms for many years. There are a number of forums grouped under "The Pool Room" and "In the news" which are intended for discussion on general interest topics or current news related matters.
The "In the news" forum is badly moderated, inconsistent in moderation and affected by the personal beliefs some of the moderators. It is just appalling. Any attempt at recourse is next to impossible and when you object to moderation via the "Talk with a mod" aka TWAM messaging, you quite often get a vindictive response. It kills discussion. It ruins what could be a good site.

I have tried to post reasonable information on this site. Stopped at every turn by moderators who seem determined to confuse an ordinary person. There is a lot of rules about polite behaviour on this site. I agree we should be polite to each other. But, this must be two way. These so-called moderators seem to have agenda of their own. Their responses are abrupt to say the least. Personally, I find all responses from moderators curt and arrogant. Their reasons for banning input are obscure. When you respond and politely quote the site rules, then new rules are quoted. When these are demonstrably wrong and you seek rectification, then you are ignored. Original decisions are made hastily and ignorantly. It is pointless to respectfully seek review, because these people think they can never be wrong.
Tip for consumers:
Keep away, you only be disappointed,

Mods on this forum have clear agendas to promote Russian trolls. They do this by moderating posts that show evidence of Russian wrong doing.
Whirlpool without a doubt the gaslighter's paradise. The moderation policies have trained people to be as cutting and nasty as possible while appearing as "nice" as possible so that they can stick within the forum's moderation rules. And the moderators make sure people stick within the rules, but never actually look at the intent of what posters are saying. Anyone who calls out behaviour for what it is is punished. This has led to it being a training ground for gaslighting behaviour.
It has some good forums and posters, but it breeds people who play by the rules and do it in the most destructive way possible. They know how to troll and they do it so well... and the mods just don't care as long as posts stick within their rules.
And their ultimate gaslighters are Senior Mods, Thor and Tangles. Make enemies of them and they will hunt you down and do everything they can to remove you from the forum.
I used to be a massive user of hte place... one of the original users, but over hte years I've seen it degrade gradually into a place where people hone their skills in gaslighting and trolling. And the mods don't give a damn.

WhirlPool.net.au has been the subject of many lawsuits over the years for publishing damaging content about many local Australia businesses.
I will never purchase whirlpool appliances again. I have owned my washer and dryer for a year and a half and have had to repair the washer for the second time now. Very unhappy about this. What's next?
