Widows or Widowers

This site is a waste of money and a waste of time. I thought the reason my responses were never answered was because I was a basic member so I paid for 3 months. Nothing changed. I could respond to someone I felt was promising or initiate a conversation. I never heard from anyone. Or - it had only been hours since someone had written me and when I attempted to respond they were "deactivated". I lost count of how many times this happened. In 2+ months I never spoke to a single man! That just isn't real. I cancelled my subscription with time on it because I realized it reached a point I needed to stop wasting time and cut my losses. Don't do this to yourself.

If you are recently widowed and about to embark on dating don't use this site. Full of scammers. I was taken in by one who knew all the right buttons to push to get me hooked using my grief and vulnerability. I paid the 6 month fee as that is the only way you can have a two way conversation with anyone. That was two weeks ago. I left the site once I realised that I was being used to extract as much information by the scammer as possible. Made the mistake of agreeing to WhatsApp him at his request as he felt uneasy about how safe the on site chat was etc. Very plausible. Luckily for me another chap on the site alerted me to scamming and alarm bells began to ring. I have left forfeiting five and a half's months of the subscription fee. Widows and Widowers are clearly grieving and vulnerable and easy pickings for scammers. My advice use a site such as Match.com or e harmony who are reputable and don't let on that you are a widow initially to anyone. Be guarded, don't agree to converse on WhatsApp instead of the site as you are not protected and if they sound too good to be true then they probably are.

I signed up as an unpaid member for about a week, to see what it was like. It is most definltely NOT just widows and widowers, but there were a couple people who looked interesting, so I paid for 3 months. Right after I paid, I sent ONE message (which is allowed for the free members) and then I was blocked... kept getting messages that my account was "deactivated". No explanation. Repeated emails and phone calls got me nothing. Finally the next day they emailed to say it was a mistake and all was well. But by this time, I had already decided I did not want to do business with them, and had requested a cancellation and refund. They refused, saying I had "used the site". Well, no. I had sent ONE message (which would have been allowed as a free member) and was then blocked. They will not listen to my reasons for wanting to cancel and will not refund me. The best they will do is a refund of half what I paid, for just one month (instead of 2/3 of what I paid, to continue for one month). Do not deal with this company. Their customer service is nonexistent and they are highly unscrupulous.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, do not waste your money. I wish I had read reviews before I signed up. I've been on this site for 48 hours. 36 ladies sent me messages. One of them might have been legit but I'm not sure. Complete scam.
