Hire this company at your own risk.

Via recorded phone call, Williams and Co. Claimed they were professional piano movers, with properly trained employees, the proper equipment, and an air-conditioned truck. They arrived with two crew members (the owner's father-in-law and husband), a regular Budget rental truck, and no equipment sufficient to move our baby grand piano. A job that should have taken less than 2 hours plus 3.5 hours of transport took 12 hours, resulted in damage to the piano, and was not even completed because the crew could not reassemble the piano. The ~800 lb piano was left precariously and dangerously unsecured on its side on a standard, small four wheel dolly that was bowing under the weight (because they did not have the expertise to assemble it and turn it right side up) after we told them to stop before they further damaged the piano. I had to hire a piano technician to come to the house (who came on an emergency basis on his way to leaving for vacation and who this company is now claiming caused the damage) to properly assemble the piano and ensure no one got hurt. He was horrified. Thank goodness for good people in the world like him!

I instructed Williams and Co. That we would not pay them until the damages were assessed, at which time I would pay a fair price for the move. We did not sign anything at the time of delivery. They signed the invoice as the customer two days after delivery and charged my card before damages were assessed without my permission. I have now filed a claim with my bank and the Better Business Bureau to dispute the charge and resolve this while the company is threatening criminal charges against me for "theft of services" and claiming that *I* committed fraud. This was the owner's statement to me: "Regardless of the matter, the fraudulent activity is coming from your end. Which, I will escalate to a criminal matter for theft of services if I see it fits." If it weren't so tragic, and if this hadn't cost me nearly $1,000, not including repair costs to the piano, this would be laughable.
