“New Italian owner has destroyed this wonderful Pennsylvania USA company”

Will F.
3/7/22

I am a life long resident of Pennsylvania, and for years I have shopped at the local Woolrich outlet in Woolrich, PA. I recently visited there and was absolutely shocked at the price increases that have occurred to the very same products that Woolrich has sold for many years for probably 1/4 of the current sticker prices offered by the company now. One cotton shirt I saw (no joke) was $295! I asked the staff there if this was a joke and their response was "no, we have a new Italian owner now." Shock really is an understatement. I am so sorry and disappointed to see this company ripping people off for prices that are just ridiculous. I looked at the locations now for this company- now though out the world, Milano Italy, Germany, etc…Europeans- If you are truly paying these amounts for our Woolrich logo, you're probably ready to buy some snake oil from me. I will NEVER buy anything from this company so long as this owner persists in ripping people off in prices. I told the staff to start looking for new jobs, because I predict that USA consumers, let alone those of us who live in Pennsylvania, where it all began, won't be very good customers in the future. Such a shame.

Tip for consumers:
Way over priced! Total rip off.

Compared my old woolrich shirts made in Macau with old label with a lamb on it to the new woolrich. The new woolrich shirt made in china and guess what. The quality in material is different. Sad to see this but won't be buying any more for gifts or myself. Sad to see but I guess gotta cut cost so where.

An icon to me in the shirt department for years. I was excited about my new purchase of a new everyday shirt that was comfy and my go to shirt. What happened to your sizing? Extra large and I couldnt close it and it was short. It fit like a medium for a midget. Very disappointed and I guess I will reluctantly have to try LL Bean. Another overseas sweat shop employer. Sorry to see you go.

www.woolrich.com WAS ONCE a real American company making excellent goods in America. Unlike the cheap blankets sold by many online companies, including those at Amazon.com, the blankets at Woolrich had no toxic chemicals! Just real wool. BUT NO LONGER. IN 2018, WOOLRICH CLOSED THEIR MILLS. WOOLRICH IS OVER, AND DECEITFUL PEOPLE BOUGHT THE NAME. THEY ARE USING THE NAME TO SELL CRAP PRODUCTS MADE OUTSIDE THE USA. The last American made blanket may be found at Pendleton in Oregon.
