“Price Gouging and Taking Advantage of Us”

Adam e.

Workable contacted us last year and offered to upgrade us from the starter plan to a professional plan and offered to give us a special rate and not to increase the rate in the future. We reluctantly accepted which included a higher cost than what we were paying before. This year, Workable figured out a way to get more money from its customers and contacted us demanding to increase the rate significantly based on the number of employees working at the company. We only use them to advertise for positions along with Indeed and Ziprecruiters. Our employee head count should not matter. In any event, they coerced us into paying a significantly higher rate which this year would be $2207.77 and next year it would be $3,588. They then stopped our access to our account and as a result we are unable to access our account and see our candidates who are applying for jobs with us. That's unprofessional and troubling. This is as aggressive of a conduct as there is. This behavior is not fit for a company that deals with employment since it can subject an employer to employment law violations if you are unable to access and respond to candidates here in the USA. How did workable go from a customer-oriented company to an aggressive shark-like company? Did they have a change of leadership? At the start they said they need to compensate for inflationary issues, and now they say they have to go by employee headcount. We were deceived last year and made to switch to this plan so we are requesting to go back to our starter plan. We will be filing a formal complaint in the USA and are likely to take them to court under a class action lawsuit for their deceptive tactics. If they continue to block our access to our account, then we will demand a full refund for all payments made to them which are I the thousands of dollars.
