Hello. I really don't know how and where to start. I would start with " I've been robbed by this company"Someone took my card information over the chat and clearly told me that I can trust him on this. I have a beauty brand where I sell mostly hair growth products. All I wanted was to trademark my brand name. I explained that to that guy and he said that I need to pay $180 for your fees and then I will pay $350 for the filling. Surprisingly after an hour a lady called me over the phone and said that i need to pay more $2000 for the filling. At that point i told her that i can't afford that and this was not what i have been told. It's been almost 2 months now and I have not received my refund of $180 back.

Second, if you are reading this means you have already been duped. What went wrong, and how you can come out of this mess?

#1 You might have been asked to file into 3 or 5 classes but most possibility your product belongs to 1 or 2 classifications only. There are a total of 45 classifications, please check the details.

#2 You should ask for the Serial Number immediately because the USPTO generates the Serial Number immediately upon filing.

#3 Check the serial number on this website:

tsdr.uspto.gov

The Trademark details will start showing within 3-4 hours of filing.

#4 Even if you don't have the serial number but if you can search your filing details using "Trademark Name", "Your name" or "Your Address" using this website.

tmsearch.uspto.gov

#5 The search details will start showing on the above website overnight.

#6 Use "Basic Word Mark Search (New User)" under tmsearch.uspto.gov url to search. On the page add your trademark name or your name or address under the "Search Term:" but change the "Field" from "Combined Word Mark (BI,TI,MP,TL)" to "All" to see the details.

Once you follow the above steps you know if the filings have been completed or not.

If no records are found then please find an attorney or you can file for yourself at

It is very easy and can with done within 20-30 mins, I did my own Trademark after this experience.

Once your Trademark is filed then immediately call your credit card company and file a fraud/dispute against the transaction and the credit card company will return the amount.
