The spade is good so far, but the website Gerber-Tools.com is not that good.
- Firstly, when I was finalizing order, delivery was upgraded automatically to more expensive without telling me, and it was too late to change it. I have to admit that change was correct because I bought the Spade from Canada, and delivery option is more expensive that I picked, but I didn't know it, and I didn't see that very special delivery option to Canada. Web-site did it for me automatically, but problem is web site changed my total only when purchase was finalized and money were payed. So, bigger grand total was a big surprise.
- Secondly, when I got an e-mail with tracking number, the link was saying that my item was delivered something like two years ago.
- Thirdly, when I send an e-mail with a question why my item was delivered two years ago while I just purchased the item, I didn't get any answer from customer support. Eventually in several days tracking system showed that my item in delivery.
- Fourthly, I was waiting for the item to be delivered for 2 weeks even thou I live in Toronto, not a rural area. When I noticed on tracking system that my spade is finally in Toronto, and Canada Post did three attempts to deliver, I realized that I have to change delivery address to my work place. So, when I asked Gerber-Tools customer support (Sales at gerber-tools.com) how can I change the address because The United States Postal Service tracking system didn't have any option to change it, I didn't get any answer from Sales at gerber-tools.com.
So, as conclusion, I would say that Gerber Spade is good, but customer support is absent in Gerber-Tools.com.
