I have worked with 30 Second Explainers on a few simple videos. I bought a bulk pack of videos including two "custom" video explainers.
I sent them a description of the "custom" videos I wanted, they gave me a price, I paid. And now that I have provided the materials I was supposed to provide for one of the "custom" videos, they tell me it will cost much more. I sent them copies of our previous email communications, that show the description of my idea and the reply from their company showing the cost. They have our money! But now my contact there won't respond to email anymore. I have repeatedly emailed my rep and any email address I can find for them online - for two weeks! In desperation, I've even tried to contact some people from the company through LinkedIn, with no response. They have a phone number on their website. But the phone number is not in service! I work for a reputable technology company. We stand behind our product with extremely good service. Not a single person in my company or any member of our customer service team would ever do something like this to a client! I feel so frustrated. This was a real bait and switch. A costly bait and switch! They already made me a few simple Explainer videos. And I would have kept using them over and over. But this problem has cost me so much time and effort! It's not just that they have several hundred dollars I paid them for this "custom" video! It's that they've caused me so much angst and I have expanded so much effort just to get them to write back to me… And I don't know why a reputable company would do this! It doesn't make sense. They are losing any further business that will come from my company. I'm so exasperated that I'm actually writing an online review! Save yourself a frustrating experience, use a better company!

Tip for consumers:
People should stay away. It’s just really too much time and effort and frustration to expend, and people should work with another resource. I can’t imagine a single person in my company who would let a client email, or several client emails go unanswered. I am not asking for anything crazy. I wanted a video, they quoted me a price, I gave them what they asked for, and now they say it will cost more. Now, not only have I wasted money, but a lot of time.
