This is the quietest water fountain I've ever gotten for my dachshunds, and I've gone through several. I can't hear the motor, and the loudest it gets is when the stream splashes sometimes. Even then, I'm super impressed by the lack of sound that I immediately bought a second one. I love the color change of the light when the water gets too low too. Much easier/quicker to notice the visual change. I did notice the splashing got a teeny bit louder right before the light change, but even then, 100% would recommend.
