A few years ago they changed the feel and direction of the site because they thought there would be more traffic if there was a religious orientation. Almost immediately circulation dropped by half, I would guess.
I guess it wasn't making enough money. But it was always one of the prettiest sites on the web. I'm biased because I contributed lots of articles. I miss it.
