This water Department used to be good to me. That was until covid started and I started struggling to pay bills, since I am a home health worker supporting 2 families of 3. I called to see how I could pay my bill, since all I had was cash. They said they could not help me and they had not ran into this problem before. So I asked if they were refusing the payment? They had gotten rude with me so I got rude back. I have four children under 14 in my house. They told me to pay it on a later date which I did. Next bill came and they had charged a late fee and other charges. I had to pay $97.37. I did. This last water bill, for 29 days of service, was totaled to $117.18. They even went as far as saying if I called back to their office again they would report me for harassment. I feel I am the one being harrased. No one can help me. I even called the police department, to see if they could help me. I am being overcharged and harassed and I don't even know what I could do. This business is good. They just need to associates in their office. I am not made of money nor do I have the funds to make it if they don't stop. I just want to pay my bill and go on with life, but this is an every month thing for the past 3 or 4 months. I do not recommend moving to Green Forest, AR. This water department has been known to do this to others as well. Berryville or Alpena. Anywhere but Green Forest. They are rude and judge off of how big your pocket book is. I am reporting them to the better business bureau in Little Rock, AR. I hope you have better luck than I have.
