Because I thought it would actually provide info, not have people calling me within 2 seconds literally
Somehow I 'bought' a groupon to a place I would never want to go -- maybe my phone did it somehow? But I did what was required to get a refund immediately -- I didn't want 'groupon credit', I wanted an actual refund -- so I was directed to chat. No one showed up to start the chat for several minutes, and when they did, there was NO BOX for me to respond in! I couldn't respond! SO I wrote them an email at the site requesting a true refund, received an automated response promising a substantive response "within 24 hours", and since then -- about 28 hours -- I've received only ADS from groupon, no actual response. Just LAME and untrustworthy and I will unsub directly after finishing this review.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use it.

nothing -- it was a groupon that got bought accidentally
First off, evidently I was committing to a subscription I never really realized. Second, when I tried to return the second unit of what I'd ordered, I discovered that they don't refund to method of payment without taking $10 (!) from your total. On a $30 item? Unopened? They give you 'store credit' instead. That's unsconscionable in this day and age. A joke. Hope someone reads this before they bother with this idiotic place.
Tip for consumers:
DON'T fall for the hype. They're all about the money. Look at the return policy.

NOTHING. I ordered a scar cream and was stuck with a subscription that cost twice as much the second time it was shipped, evidently. And the return policy is absurd.
I ventured onto the site because it had online photo cards for my daughter's birthday, the first since she moved halfway across the country for grad school. The website was SO opaque and non-intuitive; several times I filled out the "recipient" box with my daughter's name, only to find MY name on the virtual envelope front of the sample. I tried and tried--scheduled, unscheduled and edited, but nothing worked, and then at some point I must have clicked something wrong because the card SENT! Not even with a "are you sure you want to send" message, it just SENT, a day early and completely NOT when I wanted it to go. Way to handle an important family event.
Whoever designed that website needs to never work in the field again. And then they have the gall to charge UNITS of 'coins', rather than just letting us pay for what we've bought. That seems a VERY shady practice, holding us hostage to the money we've paid for services and products we HAVEN'T received. It's *wrong*.
I'm disappointed and disgusted. I should have read some reviews first.
Products used:
just a simple birthday card and they couldn't even make that process work
I needed the shutter release button on my Sony DSC-H2 replaced--the camera was fine other than the broken shutter button, which happens a lot with this model. DarntoothySam acted completely as they said they would -- I shipped the camera out, got it back in about two weeks (Labor Day weekend was in there) and it's good as new! Actually *better*, since the part is now lifetime-warranted aluminum rather than the cheap OEM plastic that broke. Thank you so much for helping us save money and keeping another camera out of the landfill!
