Two months later, after involving the BBB (Better Business Bureau) due to getting nowhere with the company, Couture Candy has finally paid me back on my original credit card, less a 5% restocking fee and shipping fees. They also requested I amend my review to reflect this.
They are unethical and use deceptive business practices. I check and double checked the return policy before buying a $400 prom dress. At check out of my full price item the company took $20 off for a new customer discount - automatically. When I received the dress it was the wrong color (not as advertised) and I sent it right back (didn't even remove from the bag) they claim it was a sale/promo code item (because they tacked on the $20 off discount) and now refuse to return my money, giving only a store credit and keep $120 for fees so even the store credit is only for $280. Check BBB reviews on them, spread the word and please don't let friends buy from there!
While I didn't keep the dress from this company. It was beautiful and exactly as advertised just not flattering on me. I returned it within the 5 days and they paid for return shipping and gave me my full refund to my credit card within the 10 days listed in their policy. Everything was as advertised. I talked with customer service and they were pleasant and easy to work with.
The dress arrived quickly, when it wasn't what I wanted I sent it back and they returned my full amount (less return shipping as stated in policy) quickly to my original credit card. I will definitely use them again. They were true to their word related to their return and refund policy. Very easy to deal with and reasonable shipping rates (didn't gouge you on the return like some companies do).
