I recently attempted to book a 5 star Hotel with Royal Sonesta Hotel located in Houston, Texas for Superbowl 2017. I came across Hoteling by clicking in the Trivago website. I booked a 2 bedroom deluxe suite which happened to be a very good price which is why I booked in the first place. The money came out of my account automatically and I called Hoteling to see when the actual hotel would be informed about the status of my booking and reservation. They told me it takes approximately 3 days for the actual hotel to be able to see the reservation. So I waited 3 days and called the hotel, they had no details of the reservation, didnt even have my name in the system. They told me to wait three more days and call back which I did but they still didn’t have any record of my name, reservation or booking on file. So I contacted Hoteling again and explained that the Hotel that I actually booked with has no knowledge of any booking or reservation that was under my name. So I attempted to contact the hideous 1-800 number they (Hoteling) provide you with, in which a man by the name of Lucus informed me that they would investigate it, and get back with me in three days. This guy was so unprofessional. Kept putting me on hold and coming back to the phone. (It appeared he wasn’t even in a professional setting). Also at the time I was on the phone with Lucas I was also on the online customer support chat with another rep by the name of Maria M. I asked her the same thing I asked Lucas and she could never give me a definite answer. She told me they would investigate it, she would check with her suppliers, and get back with me while ensuring me that everything was okay. They never would answer the question of whom and what is a supplier. BEFORE I MADE A DISPUTE WITH MY BANK, AS WELL AS POLICE REPORT I CALLED THE HOTEL AGAIN JUST TO SEE IF THEY HAD ANY BOOKING INFORMATION UNDER MY NAME AND THEY STILL DIDN’T. They informed me they had never heard of Hoteling.com and they haven’t received anything from anyone under my name. WARNING GUYS: This is a scam. These people will take your money and leave you with NO ANSWERS AT ALL. I was just smart enough to catch the BS before my trip. So I just want to warn everyone else to not use this site and report it to your bank as well as the police. THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN ASAP.
