So usually for dating sites, verified pic would have AT LEAST the face of the person. But look at this, not even face, it's just a shot of their torso AND it's verified.
On top of that, premium is a label for PC site, if you are on mobile, premium is basically "popular". This is basically a "female" only account privilege that works like premium, but obtainable for free. As long as the user reached certain amount of interaction, they will get the premium/popular status, but when they're not getting any, they will lose it.
Men? Yeah please buy premium so you can message more often (not once every 10 mins) and not getting gated by the women's premium/popular status (yes, you can get locked from messaging a person if they get the popular/premium status, even if you're able to message them before).
To start off, I'm surprised that despite the site being famous for "looking for Filipina date", it has no reviews. A friend (woman) told me to try this out because she believed this place has more "real" people, so I did. But it was a complete money grabbing scheme and sexist, and here are the easiest "turn offs" you'll experience within 5 minutes of getting online there:
1. Premium members can only be messaged by other premium members, which means if you're not premium, you can't really message some of the people who are marked as "popular" by the site. This is NOT about verified photos or not, but more to your account status.
2. As free user, you are limited to sending ONE message every 10 minutes. Definitely a turn off when you want a conversation going.
3. I asked my friend who suggested me the site regarding point no 2, she laughed it off because when she made her account to try out stuffs, she did NOT get limited to one message every 10 minutes, which means a "girl" account does not get time gated to send messages, even if the account is NOT premium or verified. So from there it was very obvious that this site is just baiting men to pay to talk.
Just look at the premium pricing, despite the target community are mainly Filipino residents, their pricing are set on USD. And one month is twice more expensive than one year? This site just seems like, they want your 10 dollars and not caring about anything else.
End word, I think the site does not offer anything special, it's just baiting innocent, guilty Filipinas to get foreigners to pay for the premium.
Edit: it's funny because when I'm checking profiles, there are alot of Filipinas who just registered already got premium. Did they really pay for it? Definitely not because 10 USD is alot for them in general. Seems that the site just gives the women (especially good looking ones with rather revealing photos) free premium to bait men to spend. Classic move
So a friend suggested me to try this app because "this app has better people, and it feels satisfying because women have to message first". Also I noticed that this app seems to be made by Badoo developer. But is it actually better? Here's what I can say:
Pros:
- Better intro from overall people that shows effort
- Different modes, not just dating
- Simple UI, not complicated and does the work
Cons:
- Forces you to use your own location and verify photo right away (okay Tinder)
- Asking women to take initiative = even less matching (for obvious reasons)
- Other modes are very unspecific, you're just thrown into pool of people who chose that mode, and you can't choose what kind of people you want to see.
In the end, for a supposedly better Badoo and trying to rival Tinder, this app just doesn't work at all. Sure there are some specific scenarios where it could work, but in general, all is wasted on forcing women to message first and turning some Badoo's free features to paid ones.
Don't rival Tinder, just be a competitor to Seeking because that's the specific scenario where this app can work
Alright since I haven't been in Locanto recently, I decided to come back and see if it's getting better. Nope, it's still the same old shiz like what I wrote on my previous reviews. Then I saw something new: Dating! Will this make personals more organized? Short answer: NO!
Their "dating" section is full of scams, with made up profiles, random name and age, pics are STOLEN from their old ads, and just look at those tags, surely those aren't lies right? Decided to dip in and spammed hearts until I get stopped, done it for some days and you know what? NOT A SINGLE REPLY OR ANY ACTIVITY THAT INDICATES THIS SECTION IS WORKING! Yet their profile section would ask you to "use a real photo" when I already attached one.
Really shows off that this site is just baiting people with their Personals and Dating section. It is surprising that this site has not been closed down already. Or maybe it's just waiting until the domain dies? Who knows

Do NOT spend money at all at this site. You've been warned.

OK because I was curious on why I never get replies, I decided to make a dummy account and one ad that I send a message on. When I log in into the other account with ad, THE MESSAGE I SENT WAS NOT DELIVERED!
Back to my other account I checked, it gives blue ticks which means "read". Going back to the other account and THE MESSAGES WERE NEVER THERE EVEN THOUGH THE SYSTEM SHOWS AS READ.
I did not have any proof but if you guys do not believe it, then it's not my problem. You guys can have fun mingling with other scammers or the devs. Also funny enough they removed review features. So now you have no more access to review scammers. Have fun truly.

Just don't give downpayments because I know 99% of you people use this for personals.
I have ZERO ideas how people read my ads and there are no responses at all lately. Back then I could get responses but since other free classified sites like Craiglist went down, I never gotten any responses at all. Making new account doesn't even work. Do we now have to pay just to be able to message people normally?
Also the spam ads are turnoffs, and so do people who can't review properly here. F**k off with your "I got scammed by xxx" and your copy pasted sugar mom ads. This is for review not your spam blog
Imagine still using this site when Tinder and other FREE dating sites exists, with even more real people. Unlike this place which seems to be a compilation of scammers.
Just stop. This site hit its prime time way long ago when it was one of the pioneers of online dating. But now, don't even depend on it. Just find other trustable sites and stop the circle of lies, and surely you'll get what you want.
When I joined, I just feels like this site is the same as other dating sites. There are still fakes but some are decent. Although you can't message them just like your typical dating sites.
What pissed me off is that those stupid "motivational" e-mails that never stops, saying that it's from the site owner etc. If I do not return to the site, please LEAVE ME ALONE. It's that simple but this website decided to keep annoying me as if "You need Jesus before you can get someone in this site"
To save yourself for some subjective stories, here are things that I'll point and why I think Badoo deserves a little bit more recognition than other dating apps I've tried (as a free user):
Pros:
- you can actually chat and video call people
- you can watch people stream for free, no premium needed
- you get free trial of premium upon registering that actually works
- you can search people nearby for free
- so far I can say their premium pricings are cheap, not bull$#*! compared to other dating sites
Cons:
- tons of verifications needed
- you can only message those who are at the same verification level as you or lower
- a lot of fake profiles
- limits you to 5 people to chat per day
- unable to chat with people nearby immediately unless you pay credits
- less verified profile gets banned easily with some reports
So far it's good, and the limitations are rather tolerant for a dating app unlike others I've reviewed. The place is decent for finding friends, but stuffs just seem worse because the men and women's purposes are never aligned to each other.

Let's start by addressing some of the cons:
We introduce new verification methods in order to combat the number of users creating false accounts. It works too! Since the introduction of photo verification and verified indication on profiles, the number of fake profiles registered on Badoo has dropped dramatically, therefore improving the Badoo experience for our genuine users. Of course, no method is 100% effective but there are things you can check to ensure another user is who they say they are, checking their profile for the blue verification tick and requesting a selfie in chat, to name a few!
We introduced the option for users to select if they only want to be contacted by verified users, if a user has this option turned on, you won't be able to contact them until your profile is verified too. Neat, right?!
To get verified status, you need to verify your profile with a photo and at least one other method. There's no need to verify using every method, but it sure will help you stand out as a genuine user.
In regards o your chat limit, you can increase it. Getting verified will increate your daily new chat allowance - This helps to protect our users again spam or bulk-contacting users. If you want to chat with someone you haven't yet matched with, you can indeed use credits to unlock the chat. However, it's not a necessary feature! If you match with the user first, you won't need credits to initiate the chat, so the best way to make new connections and have more meaningful conversations it to vote on their profile in encounters. If you have Badoo premium membership, you'll be able to see who already liked your profile too, so no guessing!
In regards to users being banned on Badoo, this is based on reports made by other users. Each complaint is thoroughly investigated and access to Badoo will be revoked if we find violations against our guidelines. We also provide warnings before blocking users on Badoo so you'll have an opportunity to correct the bevaviour and review our guidelines again before continuing to use Badoo.

When registering, I saw this site asking about your net worth and yearly income. Started browsing the girls and I thought it'd be great if we can message normally. Only to know that you'll get locked out after 3 messages or so. Got a reply and here we go with the "upgrade to Premium to read". See the premium pricing, 90$. A small amount of money to prove you're a real daddy, but probably feeds the devs (and the girl you like) for days.
You'll probably feel good that girls starts messaging you and lets you see their photos, but you'll feel bad after you realize that you actually get nothing more unless you pay, worse if you know that those girls are either fake or about to spend your one year income in one or two days.
Oh it's also funny that girls gets everything for free so don't think that their premium badge means they bought the same feature as guys. They could get it for free by requesting to the guys, and they can gain access to messages for free, while guys have to be on premium.
Ultimate gambling site.

Okay so I just registered to this site and started to look at some of the members. I thought the good reviews here are real but what I experience is the opposite.
1. I tried to see the settings. Only to see a button for "automatically purchase credit when you lack credit". So basically this site could be stealing your money anytime.
2. I took a look at some profiles. From the search result, ALL of the people are girls and using their candid photos, none are natural. And if you look at their descriptions, they don't make sense. Instead it's like they're trying to bait you out with the word "sex"
3. You actually use credits to communicate. Combine with point 1, this site is going to drain your credit the longer you're trying to get in touch with people. Not to mention point 2 indirectly says those people are probably fake and scammers.
In the end this site is much more fake than the others. I'm not sure why sitejabber hasn't realized that all those 5 star reviews here are probably paid reviews. Give them good ratings for free credits. It even ask you for your site ID which is very suspicious. Considering this kind of stuff should be done anonymously.
Update: until now look at what registering to this site do to you when you don't pay. Apparently they will start spamming you, and brings out their sister sites to do the same.
If only Sitejabber actually cares about actual reviews instead of fakes, all those 5 stars should be judged because as someone who actually tried, this site is the WORST of all dating sites.

1. Automatic credits purchase - this option is completely under user's control. If the user wants to purchase credits manually, he can leave this option inactive and no automatic purchases will happen.

Lots of the people are not replying. And when they reply, they will start asking you stuffs first before they start to threaten to block you off.

So I registered, spent 5 minutes searching for girls, 5 minutes mingling in chat.
Things I know is that there are tons of old white people as mod that takes whatever you say as offensive words and girls are sucking on them.
Starts chatting with one of the girls, 1 minute later I got banned. I made new account and it didn't even last 3 minutes before another ban hits me.
