I purchased 2 Goodman heaters. The one in my house flooded my upstairs shortly after I installed new carpets. The unit is only 2yrs old and a gasket in the unit that collects condensation went bad. Upon calling Goodman I was told that since i had an independent handyman install the unit it voided all warranties. When I explained that installing the unit to the ducting had nothing to do with the internal components I was told that it didn't matter. I was also told that the warranty only covers parts and that I should have purchased a separate warranty for labor. Seems Goodman was just trying to find a way not to stand behind their product.
