I am a seller on Mercari. I sold two watches to a customer. Because the shipping had not updated in Mercari's web system, the buyer requested to cancel the purchase of both watches. I reached out to the buyer and told him that both watches and a special holiday gift were on their way. They buyer was excited to learn this and shared that they were grateful to me because they really did want the watches. A few days later payment for both watches appeared in my account with Mercari and then a few days later, the money for one of the watches was deducted. I then began engaging Mercari's support person. She informed me that Mercari canceled the transaction at the customers request. I explained that the request was made prior to the buyer learning that I had already shipped both watches in the same box along with the holiday gift. I further explained, that if I couldn't send the watches,, I would have canceled the order myself. Why did Mercari step in and cancel my transaction? The support person insinuated that I didn't send both watches. I informed her repeatedly that I did. More so, if one watch was received, they both were because they packed together in the same box. I requested management, conference calls, reinstatement of the chat between me and the buyer (that Mercari deleted), review of the package's weight, discussions with the buyer... none have been followed up on and it's been weeks. I need to get paid now. I'm not working and depend on my sales. More so, it's my property and i'm not just giving my stuff away. I need help immediately!
