My first coaching session was scheduled for October 3. My next coaching session with the same coach was scheduled for Oct. 25. That's almost three weeks between coaching sessions. How can any effective and constructive results be achieved if we meet three weeks apart, especially with regards to any progress in my quickly deteriorating physical health and degenerating dietary lifestyle. I subsequently called up again and requested a replacement / temporary coach while waiting for my next appointment with my previously assigned coach, which is in another 2 weeks. The administrator I spoke with on the phone reassured me that she would consult her supervisor / manager, and that he would get back to me in order to schedule a temporary replacement for my coaching. HEALTHY ROADS never called me back. I was egregiously offended by their irresponsibility and untrustworthiness. I would seriously consider any institution dealing with health care to be unreliable and unprofessional when the administration postpones a customer's / patient's appointment for three weeks just because a doctor or a member of the medical staff goes on vacation. I became completely demoralized and frustrated. The most important approach to improved health is when coaches provide advice and assistance on an on-going, consistent basis.
Another concern was that after I had a half an hour coaching session, suddenly the Healthy Roads Program informed me that the sessions would be only 15 minutes long and not a half hour. They neglected to tell me that in the beginning, so I have been experiencing one disconcerting and disappointing surprise after the other, which is really not fair to the patient / recipient of the coaching.
