I recently submitted a Uyghur language copy of Mao's Quotations for appraisal. Indeed I received the Valuation Report within 48 hours of my submission - fine.
However, the Valuation Reports contains (a) informational errors (e.g. Wrong publisher) and (b) irrelevant information. (a) I submitted a photo of the colophon details showing the book was published by the National Publishing House, not Foreign Languages Press. (b) The notes section has information on the Chinese editions, autographed copies, and the recollection of a past auction of a dozen first editions in various languages. But the expert was unable to find details of the auction.
I would pay more for an expert to take more time (a week or ten days) to produce an accurate Valuation Report with relevant information. Not a 48 hour rush job. That said, it's a service with potential.
