So today I sent the following off to the ombudsman etc at the TD Bank:

COMPLAINT SUMMARY:
I booked a flight to Mexico on October 29 2021 for January 30 to February 28 2022 on TD FOR EXPEDIA. The trip was paid for with TD Reward points – 270,000 to be exact or $1349. 42 CDN total.
I made sure to include cancellation privileges paid extra for it when I booked the trip. I knew that COVID was not over at the time so took precautions.
My Itinerary number for the trip is 7... 14
On January 6 2022 as Covid raised its ugly head again, I cancelled my trip and requested a refund from EXPEDIA for TD.
At that time I was told that it would take about 3 – 5 weeks to process my request.
As of today, June 16 2022 I have yet to receive my refund.
Between January 6 2022 and today, I have spoken with TD EXPEDIA reps on many occasions regarding my claim. I have received many promises from TD EXPEDIA promising a refund at different times. I was even promised callback's from supervisors with 24 hours but never ever received a call. See attached copy of some of the emails that went back n forth.
The last promise from TD EXPEDIA was that my money would be refunded by June 13 2022.
Again, no refund.
I called them today and was told that AEROMEXICO was now bankrupt and that I would have to speak with TD BANK directly – disputes department.
I called the number provided (*******628). The first rep passed me on to the "disputes" department, who then passed me to another and this went on 5 times until they (TD BANK) finally told me that my claim could not be processed as the 120(150) day period had elapsed and that I would or should try going through TICO (*******426) and that they may be able to help me. I asked to speak with a supervisor who actually came on the phone for about 5 seconds before the call got disconnected (conveniently, since this had happened before as well).
Basically, TD washed their hands of the matter.
Please let me know if you can offer any help. I am most disappointed with the TD for the first time in 50+ years as a client.
