I received the DNA kit within 10 days. The results took longer but within 70 days.
When I looked at my results I was shocked. According to the results I am not my mothers child and my sister is not my sister.
My mother got her DNA from Ancestry and it matches what we know to be true about our family.
My sister got her DNA from My Heritage and it matches with my mothers really close.
I got my results from My Heritage and it does NOT make any sense.
My sister and I could be twins and both of us ARE my parents children. Both my sister and I resemble our father mostly and you can definitely tell that we are our mothers children.
Besides looking like my mother we know that we were delivered in the same hospital by the same woman, our mother and the information that is wrong is that I do not match my maternal ancestors.
I do match with what we know about my fathers ancestors.

At the time of our conception and the time of our birth, IVF wasn't even a dream yet.
I called My Heritage and was on hold for three hours, outrageous? No, this is outrageous, I had to call a second time to get a person on the phone. The first time I was on hold for approximately two hours. Their phone system counts down to let you know where you are in the queue. Right after it said " Your place in line is three" they disconnected me. So they wasted my entire day and I did not get any satisfaction whatsoever. Approximate time wasted to get no results, five hours.
A female customer service representative answered and after I gave her my name and told her that there was something amiss, she would ask a question and as soon as I started to give her the answer she started talking.
She told me that there was something wrong with the connection, but that didn't start until after I told her what the problem was and that I expected a full refund. She wanted me to call back to get a better connection. I wasn't about to waste another five hours on hold.
I suggested that if she just waited until I finish my answer she would be able to hear me. She would talk every time I started to say something.
So I suggested that she transfer me to another person. But she couldn't do that because she talked over me again and said that she still couldn't understand me.
I was so frustrated with her and I told her to just wait a second or two after she asked me a question and she would be able to hear me clearly.
Guess what, she talked over me again.
Then she hung up on me.
Do not use My Heritage for DNA or even starting with your family genealogy. They send email notifications that there are new connections with you. After you click on the link you need to join for more $$$.
My Heritage is a ripoff and I will tell anyone that asks me to steer clear of them.
