I've seem some people post about their recent orders from The Sound of Vinyl in regards to the ZABA Zoetrope Limited Edition Vinyl and I want to say that it has been atrocious. I ordered the Pre-Order through their site on July 19,2023. I was informed my order was confirmed on that day and they took my payment. They stated the expected ship date was August 25,2023. That was shortly after the Vinyl released, so I was fine with it.

Fast-forward to August 25,2023 and I get an email stating that there was going to be a small delay in my order and it was now expected to ship on or before September 1,2023. I understand shipping times have been crazy lately, so I wait...and wait...and wait some more

Now it's September 10,2023 and I get another email stating that I need to let them know if I still want to keep my order or if I want to cancel it and have ir refunded. Now I'm pissed. At this point I've seen people get theirs and it want any trouble at all to receive them.

Come to find out that The Sound of Vinyl sold multiple orders of this Vinyl that they didn't even have. They took all these people's money for a record they didn't even have that is limited edition, had no signs of restocking (thank goodness it recently restocked in US store), and is now being upsold on every market imaginable. So if I want this record, I'm going to have to fork over a ridiculous amount of money for a product I PRE-ORDERED.

So email their support team to ask if there's an update. I get a response a week later and they say they have no update, but they can refund the item for me. To which I respond that this is very upsetting due to the nature of this Vinyl (as mentioned before). I ask about the details of the refund and they state it will be refunded as STORE CREDIT because it has been so long since I ordered. I say absolutely not and ask for an escalation.

Two weeks later I finally hear back. They state the exact same thing in the last email, word for word. Copy and pasted. I point this out, since I'm assuming they can't see what the last representative said. Then they respond with the exact same message...with two words different. Now I'm ultra pissed. I call their store only to find they have NO active number.

So I email again, opening a new ticket. This worked because I was connected with someone new. They expressed their apologies and offered me a full refund to the original form of payment. So finally, after all this I get a refund. Which will be issued in 20 DAYS. I have no more room to complain at this point...just give me my money.

So here I am, with my money floating in the wind, hoping it actually is posted in 20 days. I ordered the restock from Glass Animal's US site and I think I'm going to lose it completely if that somehow gets canceled or doesn't make it to my house. I feel sorry for Glass Animal's for partnering with this company to sell their product. I mean the link to buy it was on their official site! There's no way they would endorse this company if they knew they were doing this.
